Not every Christmas party needs sparkle and noise.

This year, our Sensory Space team chose something softer…
✨ A quiet cabin escape
🎄 Board games and card shuffles
🍿 Christmas movies by the fire
🥡 Comfort food shared around one big table
🎈 And playful team-building moments that brought out big belly laughs

It wasn’t about the “event.”
It was about us—unwinding, reconnecting and just being human together.

We give so much to the families we work with every day.
This weekend was a little reminder to give back to ourselves too 💛

Here’s to rest, real connection, and a new kind of Christmas tradition.

🎵 Music therapy isn’t just for kids—it’s for anyone with feelings.

One client sat with a drum. The therapist didn’t lead—they listened, matching each beat with soft guitar chords. That moment wasn’t about musical skill. It was about connection, control, and feeling safe to express emotions without words.

At Sensory Space, music therapy is available to people of all ages. Whether you’re navigating stress, grief, anxiety or just feeling overwhelmed—music gives you a voice when words don’t come easily.

🧠 Supports emotional release
💬 Encourages non-verbal communication
🌱 Builds confidence and calm

You don’t need to be “musical.” You just need to be human.

🌳 What is emotional resilience?

It’s our inner strength — the ability to bend, not break, when life gets tough.
Just like a tree sways in the wind but stands tall after the storm, we can learn to move through challenges and grow even stronger.

💛 At Sensory Space, we help children (and parents!) build those emotional “muscles” through creativity, connection, and care.

Nothing can replace the joy of working alongside children and their families 💛

The relationships we build here go far beyond therapy. We witness their struggles… but we also witness their confidence grow, their self-expression unfold, and their world slowly open up.

Moments like this — filled with warmth, laughter, and playful roles — remind us why we do what we do.

We couldn’t be more grateful for the job we have and the experiences we share with each child, each parent, and every member of our Sensory Space community.

🫶 Thank you for trusting us.
💬 If you’re curious about what support could look like for your family, send us a message any time.

When we smile at the mirror, it smiles back. When we’re sad or angry—our reflection shows that too.
Now imagine this: our children are watching. They are our mirrors.
Their self-image, their calm, their joy… often starts with us.

This gentle reminder goes beyond parenting tips—it’s a call to lead with love 💛

It all starts with you, mummy.
Your peace, your joy, your energy — they shape your home.
Keep reminding yourself until you believe it. 🌿

Meet Sasha — a Reflexologist with over 20 years of experience and a heart for neurodiverse children 💚

Her journey began 15 years ago with a friend’s three children who had additional needs.
Through Reflexology, she noticed incredible changes — calmer days, better routines, and deeper, more restful sleep.

Today, Sasha brings her gentle touch to Sensory Space, offering free trial sessions for children and parents who want to explore if Reflexology could support their unique needs.

Because every small step towards calm matters 👣

Parenting a teen isn’t always what people expect.
And if your teen is neurodivergent, the experience can be completely different — in ways that are quietly wonderful.

No slammed doors.
No mysterious nights out.
No guessing games.

Instead… there’s structure, trust, routine — and yes, plenty of humour too (don’t miss the ending 😄).

If you’re raising a neurodivergent teen, this is your reminder that different doesn’t mean harder. It means real. It means connected. And sometimes — it means hilarious.

Do any of these questions sound familiar?

💬 “Is your child overwhelmed by noise, lights or touch?”
💬 “Have you just come from an IEP meeting, still unsure what to do next?”
💬 “Did your child receive a diagnosis—and now you’re lost in the fog of ‘what now?’”
You’re not alone. And you don’t have to figure it all out on your own.

At Sensory Space, we support children, teens and families through anxiety, sensory challenges, communication issues and emotional overwhelm. Whether you’re early in your journey or knee-deep in it—we’re here with a team who listens, cares and walks beside you.

✨ Come to us at Sensory Space. The first step might just be the calm you’ve been looking for.

“I’m bored…”

We’ve all heard it — at home, in class, or during homework time. But boredom isn’t always a sign of laziness.
Often it means the child’s task is either too easy or too difficult, which leads to frustration or restlessness.

Yet sometimes, “I’m bored” hides a deeper message — a need for connection, a tired brain, or sensory overload.

💬 Next time you hear it, try asking: What is my child really telling me?
When we understand the message behind the behaviour, learning becomes joyful again.

What can Halloween stickers tell us about how a child’s brain works? 🧠
Sometimes, a window full of letters reveals more than we think.

Reversed words. Jumbled spellings. Floating letters. These aren’t mistakes — they’re messages.
Signals of how a child may be processing space, sound, or planning.

In our latest carousel, we show you 4 early red flags of dysgraphia, seen through joyful sticker play:
🔸 Mirror writing
🔸 Irregular spacing
🔸 Sequencing confusion
🔸 Mixed-case or jumbled fonts

It’s not about perfection. It’s about pattern recognition.
The earlier we notice, the better we can support.
