Hi, I'm Una O Brien, I'm a teenage pregnancy midwife at Our Lady of Lourdes hospital, Maternity Unit, in Drogheda. If you've booked into the Lourdes to have your baby, I'm usually the first Midwife you'll meet. Teen mums, young dads, you, and your families are all welcome on your journey through pregnancy, labour and childbirth! This page will post updates and give times for classes, and just be a place for you to comment and chat and get all the support you need.

Hi everybody its so sad to see, but I have been redeployed back to the wards :(:( so this face page will not have a midwife running it from tomorrow.
If anyone needs to contact me please do before tomorrow 11 September. :(
Your antenatal classes will continue tonight and I have some of you booked in for tomorrow morning as well. ( face time) .
If you need a midwife please talk to midwife at the clinic at your appointment,or MLU, your GP, or if you are nearly due speak to a midwife in the labour ward. The extension for the Labour ward is 2122, the clinic is 2275, and MLU 2136. Thank you Una

Antenatal classes this Thursday and I also have your new Certificates of completion to give you, so well done to those who are as well prepared for birth as you can be. It's a difficult time and I am glad those of you who have delivered their babies have had a good experience, all the midwives are here to support you and care for you. See you in the clinic and those that are booked in for your virtual classes see you on Thursday as planned. Just dial in and i will be in the virtual waiting room :):) face time basically :)

Good morning everyone, I got a lot of messages this morning on my mobile number 0879127325 remember I work Tue/Thur and Friday. I don't work Mon and Wed. If you are ever worried always ring your GP for advice, if you are nearly due you can ring the Labour Ward on 0419837601 extension 2122 and you speak to a nice midwife who will help you. Or the ante natal clinic on extension 2275. remember your GP is there on those days I don't work. We have our ante natal classes running and I have a link for you so text me for it, your letters are going out this week with the link, it's called 'attend anywhere' just like face time so I am always available on thursdy evenings for you to prepare you for child birth.

All those of you who did not get your certificate for doing your ante natal classes with me, though attend anywhere ( face time ) or in the clinic, let me know I am giving them out on Tuesday mornings so you will have them in your cream notes :)

Good Morning everybody Its Una here :) thank you so much for all your great feed back, and i am glad you got on well. It doesnt all turn out a happy story for everyone, so I am very much aware of that, but it is so good to have teenage pregnancy support here in our hospital, a mental midwife and a bereavement specialist, as well as me.
remember I work Tue Thur Friday and I leave a message on all my phones so you know where I am. Attend Anywhere is like face time and its a great way of communicting with me and you can have as long as like to chat to me. I do these on thursday evenings and i have a number for you to put into goggle so please if you want to meet me virtually do contact me 0879127325 :)

Hi everyone, I am sorry but I am booked out tonight with my video calls for teenage antenatal classes, glad you all find them helpful. I am available again on Thursday night for teenage antenatal birth preparation classes, so book in with me for Thursday the 30 th of July starting at 5 pm until 8 pm :) I will also see you for your antenatal appointment on Tuesdays. Hi everyone, glad you all got connected today with video calls attend anywhere, those who didint I have you down for next Thursday. It was great going through the book also and showing you the bag of what to bring to the hospital Im glad that was a help too and you found it helpful.
