Today we mark World Autism Awareness Day. Awareness alone is not enough — we need acceptance, inclusion, and equity. Different ways of thinking are strengths, and small changes can make a big difference.

We join communities across Ireland in supporting the Irish Cancer Society on Daffodil Day. 🌻

Many of our residents, families, and staff have been touched by cancer in some way, and today is a chance to honour survivors, remember loved ones, and support vital cancer services.🎗

To everyone taking part, donating, volunteering or wearing a daffodil, thank you for helping bring hope to those who need it most. 💚

Neurodiversity Celebration Week 16th -22nd March 🌍🧠

Founded by Siena Castellon in 2018, Neurodiversity Celebration Week is a worldwide initiative that challenges stereotypes and misconceptions about neurological differences. It aims to transform how neurodivergent individuals are perceived and supported by providing schools, employers and ,organisations, around the world with the
opportunity to recognise the many skills and talents of neurodivergent individuals, while creating more inclusive and equitable cultures that celebrate differences and empower every individual.

Neurodiversity includes employees, residents and visitors with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, and other cognitive differences.

It reminds us that there is no single “normal” way of thinking, learning, or communicating.Diverse minds bring creativity, empathy, attention to detail, and unique problem-solving skills.

In our nursing home, diversity in thinking and perspective helps create a compassionate, inclusive environment for residents, families, and staff

We are proud of a workplace where staff feel supported to be themselves, share their strengths, and contribute in their own unique ways.
• Respect differences
• Support one another
• Value every voice

Together we build a kind, understanding, and inclusive care community.
