PLAY THERAPIST, PREPARING FOR LIFE PROGRAMME
(One Year Fixed Term / Part Time 0.4 FTE)
Northside Partnership / Preparing for Life is recruiting a part-time Play Therapist to join the Preparing for Life Team. This role is funded through the RTÉ Comic Relief fund and as such is being offered on a one-year fixed team basis with no option to extend. The Play Therapist will plan, implement, deliver, and evaluate weekly play therapy interventions on a 1:1 basis, with children ranging in age from 4 – 12 years. The Play Therapist will also work closely with the PFL Team to develop and implement innovative supports for children and families.
This is a part time (2 days per week) contract, subject to funding.

Preparing for Life is an evidenced based, prevention and early intervention project based in Darndale, North Dublin working with families from pregnancy through childhood to help children achieve their full potential. We work with families, health services, early years education settings and schools.

We are delighted to announce that the Children’s Therapy Centre (CTC) was successfully accredited as a European Accredited Psychotherapy Training Institute (EAPTI) by the Training Accrediting Commitee (TAC) of the European Association for Psychotherapy (EAP) and the EAP Board on February 20th, 2020.

This makes CTC one of only 3 training institutes in Ireland to hold this accreditation.

The EAP website states that “EAPTI’S are training institutes whose excellence and commitment to high standards have been tested and approved by the ‘European Association for Psychotherapy’. This requires a rigorous approval visit and the backing of relevant national and modality bodies.”

CTC is delighted to have received this recognition and honour.
