💙 Safeguarding Discussion at St. Glady's Nursing Home 💙

At St. Gladys Nursing Home, Harold’s Cross, they recently held a Safeguarding Discussion with residents — part of a Grace Healthcare Ireland initiative across all 10 of our nursing homes.

In this video, our wonderful receptionist Arie chats with residents about safeguarding — what it means, why it matters, and how everyone plays a role in creating a safe, respectful, and caring environment. 🌼

Safeguarding conversations like these are an important part of life in every nursing home. They help to:
🩵 Promote awareness and understanding of residents’ rights
🩵 Encourage open communication and trust
🩵 Ensure everyone feels heard, protected, and valued

👻 Halloween Highlights from our 10 Grace Healthcare Ireland Nursing Homes where things got spooky this Halloween, and the fun was frightfully fantastic!
From costume parades to pumpkin decorating, spooky treats, creepy crafts and 'Halloween Hoolies', our residents really embraced the spirit of the season. 🕸️

A huge thank you to our staff in all our Nursing Homes and of course our Residents & their loved ones, for making Halloween 2025 so memorable 💜

💬 “When I was younger, I wanted to be…” 💬
At Glenaulin Nursing Home, one of our 10 Home, the team there recently asked some of our wonderful residents to share their dream jobs from when they were little — and what they actually worked as when they grew up 🥰
It sparked lots of laughter and great conversation around the room (especially between Noel and Frank 🥰).
Here’s what everyone shared:

Cutting the turf ....... Civil servant

It was such a lovely way to reminisce and learn a little more about each other’s journeys through life. 💕

🌿 Green Week Across Grace Healthcare Ireland🌿

Last week, we celebrated Green Week across all ten of our Grace Healthcare Nursing Homes — a wonderful initiative that reflects our ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) commitment to creating a more sustainable future for our residents, colleagues, and the communities we serve. 💚

At our Oakwood Lodge Nursing Home, St. Margaret's Dublin, our team embraced the “Love Green, Live Green, Go Green” theme with enthusiasm and creativity. Residents and staff reused plastic cups and eggshells, filled them with moss peat, and planted seeds from their garden — a small but meaningful way to give back to our planet. 🌱

A heartfelt thank you to Karen, our fabulous team member at Oakwood Lodge, for coordinating this fun and eco-friendly activity. It’s inspiring to see how small actions, when shared across our homes, can make a big difference in building a greener future together. 💚🌍

We thought this photo of Hannah was great and worth sharing. It is from our Bishopscourt Residential Care Home in Cork where the Residents came up with a game called 🎈 The Floor is Lava - where the “balloon must not hit the floor” — lots of laughter and quick reactions as everyone kept the balloon from touching the ‘lava’ 😄🔥

🎃 Spooky Season at Tara Winthrop Private Clinic - one of our 10 Grace Healthcare Ireland Homes👻
They are getting into the Halloween spirit In Tara Winthrop Private Clinic Swords with a special Halloween Party Dinner on Thursday 30th October for residents and staff

Their chefs have cooked up a deliciously spooky menu — from Spiced Pumpkin Soup and Haunted Goat Cheese, to hearty mains like Roast Pork Roulade and Traditional Beef & Guinness Pie, finished with a Rhubarb Crumble and Blackberry Compote 🍂🕸️

It’s sure to be a fun and festive filled with great food, smiles, and a few friendly frights 💀🧡

It’s been another lively start to the week across our Grace Healthcare Ireland Homes.

At St. Glady's Nursing Home they had double the fun — celebrating Paul’s birthday 🎂 with plenty of smiles, music, and cake, while residents also got creative preparing some spooktacular Halloween art for Friday’s festivities. 🎨🕸️

Meanwhile, over at Castleross, Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan, the Halloween spirit is in full swing too, with residents enjoying spooky-themed art sessions and a heartwarming visit from Marley, the much-loved therapy dog 🐶💛 — always a highlight for everyone!

Molly was surrounded by love, laughter, and song as we marked this incredible milestone. She even received a medal from the President of Ireland — a truly proud moment for everyone here. 🇮🇪🏅
