⭐️ Digestive Health ⭐️
Precision Microbes Horse & Foal supports healthy digestive function when used long term.
A horse’s gut flora is delicate and can be disrupted by stress, routine changes, travel, medication, or feeding adjustments, making digestive support even more important.
When can Precision Microbes Horse & Foal be beneficial?
🐴 Before and during periods of stress (transport, new environment)
🐴 During or after medications such as wormers or antibiotics
🐴 During box rest or major routine changes (including weaning)
🐴 With seasonal transitions or changes in feeding
🐴 Throughout competition season, where workload, travel, and stress increase
🐴 For performance horses needing optimised digestive function
Send us a DM to find your nearest stockist, or ask your vet about Precision Microbes Horse & Foal.

to an unforgettable IEVA Conference! 🎉🐴
We’re still riding the high from an amazing few days at the Irish Equine Veterinary Association Conference! From catching up with old friends to meeting so many new faces, the energy was brilliant from start to finish.
We had plenty of exciting conversations about all things equine health. Launching Cuvestrequin™️ was a major highlight, and it was fantastic to share the rest of our equine range with everyone who stopped by.
Thanks to everyone who came over to say hello, your enthusiasm made the event! Already counting down to next year! 💙✨

⭐️ Acute Diarrhoea in Horses – Diagnostics, Treatment & Nutritional Support ⭐️
Acute diarrhoea can develop quickly, and early veterinary attention is essential. Your vet may carry out a full clinical exam to assess dehydration and check for signs of endotoxemia. They may also run blood tests or analyse faecal samples to identify parasites or bacteria such as Salmonella, helping guide the most effective treatment plan.
Treatment typically focuses on rehydration to replace lost fluids and electrolytes, along with medication to manage pain and prevent or treat endotoxemia. Depending on the underlying cause, anti-parasitic or other targeted therapies may also be required.
Nutritional support plays an important role in recovery. Digestive supplements designed to support gut health and help rebalance the microbiome can be used alongside veterinary treatment.
If you have concerns about your horse’s digestive health, always speak with your vet. 🐴💛

⭐️ Digestive system - effects of acute diarrhoea ⭐️
The horse’s digestive system is home to a diverse community of microbes that work together to support healthy digestion. When this balance is disrupted, through stress, illness, diet changes or infection, “bad” bacteria can multiply, leading to digestive upset and acute diarrhoea.
When harmful bacteria take over, the intestinal wall can become irritated and more permeable. This allows excess water into the digestive tract, resulting in loose or watery droppings. In more severe cases, significant fluid loss can lead to dehydration, which may be seen as reduced skin elasticity and other clinical signs.
Acute diarrhoea can also trigger moderate to severe abdominal discomfort, including signs of colic.
If you ever have concerns about your horse’s digestive health, always speak with your vet. 🐴💧
