It’s time to introduce myself!

My name is James Burns, and I am the founder of Encore Music Therapy. I graduated from the MA Music Therapy at the University of Limerick in 2022, receiving a first class honours degree. I also hold a BA in Music and French from Trinity College Dublin, and I am currently pursuing a PhD at UL in the area of music therapy, paediatric acquired brain injury, and language and communication.

I completed my Neurologic Music Therapy training with the NMT Academy, and I am also a member of IACAT, the Irish Association of Creative Arts Therapists.
