✨ Pancake Tuesday may have come and gone, but we were delighted to celebrate it at Danu Home Care 🥞😊

To mark the day, our team members were treated to some delicious sweet treats while out and about on their visits. As they travelled between clients, there was time to enjoy a pancake and a chat, adding a little extra sweetness to the day.🎉

Our staff work tirelessly in the community, providing compassionate and professional care, so it was lovely to recognise their dedication in a small but meaningful way ♥️

We’re proud to be taking part in Denim Day for Dementia on the 27th February, helping to raise awareness and support for people living with dementia and their families.

We are delighted to introduce Edel Murray, our Operations Manager 🌟

Edel began her journey in healthcare in 2012, driven by a genuine desire to help others and make a meaningful difference ❤️ With 14 years of experience, her exceptional skills and commitment quickly saw her progress into a management role in 2016 👏

In recent years, Edel’s continued dedication and strong leadership led to her well deserved promotion to Operations Manager. In this role, she oversees operations across multiple locations, ensuring the highest standards of care and support for both our clients and care team 🏡

Despite her busy and demanding role, Edel has a love for travel and enjoys planning new cultural adventures whenever she can ✈️🌍 Her passion, leadership, and commitment to healthcare make her a highly valued and admired member of the Danu Homecare team 💫

We are delighted to introduce Karl Sweeney, our Senior Operations Manager, in the latest edition of our Meet the Team series.

Karl has been working in the healthcare sector since 2010 and has been a valued part of Danu Home Care since joining in 2019. His journey with us is a true reflection of his dedication and commitment. Starting as a Care Worker, Karl progressed through the roles of Team Lead, Care Manager, Business Support Manager and Operations Manager before stepping into his current role as Senior Operations Manager.

Today, Karl oversees the day to day operations of our service, ensuring our teams continue to deliver the highest standard of care and support to our clients.

Outside of work, Karl enjoys travelling, learning new skills, and spending time outdoors with his three dogs. 🐾

St Brigid’s Day, observed today on the 1st of February, is rooted in Irish tradition as a time that celebrates life, renewal and the return of light. St Brigid is remembered for her deep connection to people and place, her care for those in need, her respect for nature, and her belief in generosity as a way of life.♥️

The day reflects the ancient festival of Imbolc, when communities looked ahead to spring and the promise of growth after winter. Symbols such as St Brigid’s crosses, woven from rushes and hung in homes, have long represented protection, hope and continuity from one generation to the next.✨

⭐ Meet the Team #1 – Tara Scott ⭐

On our new weekly insight into the team at Danu Home Care, we’re delighted to introduce Tara Scott, our Director of Operations. ♥️

Tara has been part of the care industry for an incredible 18 years, starting her career as a Care Assistant before progressing through the roles of Care Manager, Operations Manager, and now Director of Operations.

She joined the Danu team in 2018 as Care Manager for our newly established Dublin Branch, and has played a key role in growing the service from strength to strength. Tara’s passion for delivering high-quality care for both clients and carers shines through in everything she does, every single day.♥️

When she’s not in the office, you’ll find Tara nose-deep in a good book, whipping up a storm in the kitchen, or bravely attempting some DIY projects. We can’t promise Pinterest-perfect results — but we can guarantee plenty of enthusiasm and laughs along the way!♥️
