Our residents have been enjoying a range of lovely spring activities around the home. From arts and crafts to seasonal decorations and games, there has been plenty of creativity and fun.

It has been wonderful to see everyone getting involved, enjoying the brighter days and embracing the spring spirit together. 🌷😊

🌼There were lovely moments in our Tall Trees memory unit at The Four Ferns recently 🌼

Residents began by planting flowers and bulbs, enjoying time outdoors while supporting sensory engagement, gentle movement and meaningful activity 🌱 Gardening offers a great way to promote relaxation, encourage conversation and excitement as residents look forward to seeing their plants grow.

The fun continued with a friendly colouring competition between staff and residents, encouraging creativity, focus and social interaction 🎨 It was a great way to bring everyone together, spark friendly competition and share plenty of smiles.💛

🍕✨ Our residents enjoyed another fantastic cooking class recently, and this time it was all about pizza. With plenty of toppings to choose from, everyone had great fun creating their own perfect slice. 😄

There was lots of creativity, chat and laughter as residents built their pizzas just the way they like them. The delicious smells from the oven made the wait even more worthwhile before everyone sat down to enjoy the results together.👏

We always say our residents at The Four Ferns are full of hidden talents… and this one certainly wasn’t hidden for long! 🎤✨

Recently, we caught one of our lovely residents treating us to a fantastic sing song, and let’s just say there were plenty of smiles all around. 🎶😊

Every day we see different talents shine, whether it’s singing, storytelling, art, or simply making everyone laugh. It’s these special moments that make life at The Four Ferns so vibrant and full of joy.🎉

✨ We had a brilliant time at The Four Ferns with a special visit from the students at Bergain Academy 💃💚

They put on a fantastic Irish dance performance that was enjoyed by both our residents and staff. There was a great atmosphere throughout, and it was lovely to see so many smiles and people getting into the spirit of it all 😊

A big thank you to the dancers for taking the time to visit us and share their talent. It really meant a lot and made the day extra special 👏🍀

Today we take time to celebrate the wonderful mothers, grandmothers and mother figures who are such a valued part of life at The Four Ferns. 💖

Mother’s Day is a chance to honour the love, dedication and care that mothers have given throughout their lives. The memories they have created and the families they have nurtured are something truly special. 🌷

✨Master Chef Comes to The Four Ferns!✨

We recently hosted our very first Master Chef Competition here at The Four Ferns, bringing a wonderful buzz of excitement to the home. Chefs from each nursing home across the group take part in this friendly competition, creating their best dishes while our residents take on the very important role of judges.🎉

Our residents thoroughly enjoyed tasting the delicious creations and sharing their thoughts as they helped decide the winner.🥇

🏆 Congratulations to Chef Orla, whose fantastic Chicken à la King took first place! Chef Orla will now go on to represent The Four Ferns in the group final later this year.

Well done to everyone who took part and thank you to our residents for being such brilliant judges. We are already looking forward to the final!💙

💜 We marked International Women’s Day at The Four Ferns with a special ladies’ lunch for our residents 💜

The afternoon was filled with great food, wonderful company and live music from one of our own talented staff 🎶 It was a lovely way to celebrate the incredible women in our community and spend time together enjoying the occasion.

A big thank you to our fantastic team for organising such a special afternoon and to our wonderful residents for making it such an enjoyable celebration 🌷
