Join us as we host the Dean and Professor of Restorative Dentistry at the University of Chieti, Italy. A Past-President of the Italian Society of Restorative Dentistry, Dr. D’Arcangelo is a cornerstone of modern dental academia.

He has co-authored definitive textbooks including “E.F.P. Approach” and “Endoprosthodontics,” and maintains a distinguished H-index of 32 with over 100 published articles in prestigious journals.

// EDSA Country in Spotlight 💡 — 🥁 SHOL (Finland)! 🥰

🇫🇮 SHOL (Suomen Hammaslääketieteen Opiskelijain Liitto ry) is the national umbrella organisation that serves as the collective voice for dental students across the land of a thousand lakes. They represent approximately 1,000 students across 4 dental schools. 🌍

What makes SHOL special is its tight-knit community; with 700 active members, a vast majority of Finnish dental students are directly involved in the association's mission. The team is led by a dedicated Executive Board of 8 members who ensure that the interests of future dentists are heard both nationally and internationally.

This past year was a historic one for SHOL as they celebrated their 50th birthday! 🎂 Half a century of connecting students, building traditions, and strengthening the dental community is a milestone that truly shines. 🤍

Their next big mission is an incredibly exciting one: hosting Odontologiska spelen 2026 in Helsinki! 📢 This legendary event will bring together dental students from across the Nordic region for a celebration of sport, networking, and friendship. 🇫🇮 🇸🇪 🇳🇴 🇩🇰 🇮🇸

💌 Currently, dental students in Finland are facing a significant turning point. The government is implementing major cuts to education and healthcare, which will deeply affect both the quality of training and the future of the working world. SHOL is standing on the front lines, working hard to navigate these challenges and protect the future of the profession. 🦷

Join us for the EDSA Research Competition during the 77th General Meeting in Amsterdam! 🇳🇱

We invite dental students from all member countries to showcase their scientific knowledge and compete for prestigious awards before a jury of esteemed faculty professors. Whether you are submitting Original Research or a Case Report, this offers an opportunity for academic exchange.

📍 Submission:

-Abstract: 500-word limit across four mandatory sections (Introduction, Materials & Methods, Results, Conclusions).

-6-minute oral presentation.

-Original work only; duplicate submissions are not permitted.

-Deadline: 22nd March 2025, 23:59 CET.
