Each year in Ireland, 300 people with a cervix get cervical cancer and 90 die from it.
Women between the age of 25 and 65 can get a free regular cervical screening. Cervical screening checks the health of your cervix.
It's not a test for cancer, it's a test to help prevent cancer from developing and can be one of the best ways to protect yourself from cervical cancer. If you want to register or check your registration status you can do so on hse.ie.
