To check your breasts, look for changes in size, shape, or skin such as puckering or redness, and feel for lumps or thickening in the breasts and armpits. You should do this regularly, about a week after your period, or on the same day each month after menopause. If you notice any changes, see your doctor right away, even if most changes are not cancerous
