Good morning.
Just finished my coaching for today & thought I’d jump on here.
I wanted to share something that I’ve been tracking, which seems to be endemic within individuals I am currently coaching. This is not just an Irish perspective as I coach Internationally.
It’s this use of shared language that creates a blaming perspective, whether internally or externally. You see our language are the words, that write the script, of the story of our lives.
Language is very important in how we perceive the world, a lot of the times we are extremely unaware of the subtle language we are using.
As an example-
One of these pet dislikes I see shared time and time again is the use of the word
“TRIGGER/TRIGGERED”
What the word is saying at its core is something outside of me is responsible for how I feel,
On a deeper level there is blame shifting……You,They made me feel this way & it’s their fault…
Im gently reminding you when talking to yourself or more importantly when working with individuals. Please, be careful you have done the inner work to identify the script circulating in you & so the language you are using with clients.
In my work I trust the individuals in front of me know exactly how to find their sovereignty.
Therefore, the questions I ask are always in response to their leadership. Yes, this takes skill and focus but the most important thing is deep presence on my part.
Questions, more importantly the language we use when asking questions internally or externally is important, and, can effectively shift different mindsets throughout the day.
If you’d like to start understanding the script you are using or identify the language you are speaking contact me for an appointment..
let’s make this world a better place starting with ourselves😊
