Happy Friday Lovelies, I heard this little nugget yesterday and thought it would be a good one to share. As part of trying to live mindfully I am always trying to be an observer however sometimes itβs easy to get absorbed/caught up in other peopleβs energy.... do you ever feel affected by certain peopleβs energy, sometimes they can leave you drained?!!
I always try and protect myself from this and be around those who uplift me and when I leave them feel better for having spent time with them, thatβs the key for me π
However sometimes we do need to be around those who can try and suck us in, in those cases a trick I use is just stating βthatβs interestingβ and quickly changing the subject.
Another method is to set an intention to protect yourself by placing a huge bubble of protection around yourself (side note I do this when I fly..) and only let love in and love out (the love in and love out part Iβve heard from my friend Tina Mavadia a beautiful mindfulness and meditation teacher)
Lastly, intentionally βcut the cordβ once you leave their presence so you donβt have to carry their burden with you. Sending them love but mindfully and peacefully getting on with your day π
