In Women & Wolves one of the teachings we explore is that of a “handmade life’. What is a handmade life, how do we know what one feels like, what it looks like? What are the somatic practices I can utilise to feel fully content in my body, and in my heart, or how do I return contentment to my life? Not striving but present and patient. MOST Importantly what may have distracted me from this handmade life?
For those that asked about the hundreds of seashells I picked the other day. They became a small, still unfinished mosaic in the entrance in my cozy little cottage I live in, preached on a hill, next to the ocean. This tiny home has been a long awaited oasis for me. A grounding space to create. And slowly it is being renovated and loved. Each section a private expression of my creative mind.
If it’s baking a pie, running that long run, being present with a creative thought and then taking small action on it, this is a handmade life. When it’s not a ,have to, so much as a “I must”then you know you are on the right track.
But what happens when you no longer feel that, when nothing springs up, no creative thought therefore no action?…. Or a numbness, a bitterness, a jealousy or a longing unfilled? First, get curious, then quiet, this provokes focus and reclamation. Need support? If this sounds like it makes sense but you want to know more about the process you are welcome to join the 6 month long workshop series women & wolves. Where we cover so many important practices for a women to truly feel “wild”, wild a misused word, but an important and essential action for all women.
We begin Dec 29 7-9 pm GMT. This first session is free so save the date.
