For years, I was sceptical about fasting even as friends of mine said they had got good results from doing it. It just seemed to be another fad and, even though I love a good fad, I wasn't convinced. Except, of course, that 'fasting' doesn't have to be extreme. It can be just an easy way to cut a few calories by not having a big breakfast or by stopping eating in the evening. It also seems to be a really good way to retrain your belly into fetting fewer rumbles. When even a brain surgeon is a fan -- in this case Dr Rahul Jandial (Rahul Jandial, MD, PhD) -- you have to think maybe it is a good idea. Here's what I found out, with the help of Jill Dempsey🧐

It's coming to the end of January, which is just about the time that a lot of New Year's resolutions about exercise fall by the wayside. The run-up to Christmas is long these days. For some of us, it can last a good six weeks from first party to the last of the turkey curry.
