Such a nourishing day in Anchor Therapy Cork ✨
We spent the morning diving into Part 2 of our executive functioning series with .partnership. It was full of meaningful, honest conversations around strategies that help us with our executive functioning at work and at home. We talked about burnout and staying well.
A refuel at Marina Market (because food is therapy too 😄), followed by planning our next exciting ADHD Ireland Cork workshop on ADHD in the workplace, supporting neurodivergent adults at work.
We finished the day with a run, then some much-needed mental rest at HotBox Sauna, Cork 🔥
Connection, movement, purpose, and rest—the foundations!

What a beautiful morning spent with the Workability Cork course attendees 🌤️ .partnership
Our OT Ailís loved facilitating today’s workshop, diving into executive functioning and how these core skills support mental health, work readiness, and employability.
Executive functioning is the foundation of how we plan, organise, regulate emotions, manage time, and follow through on tasks.
In the context of work and gaining employment, these skills are essential. Today we focused on building strong foundations, increasing self-awareness, and exploring practical tools and strategies to support attention, planning, motivation, and emotional regulation in everyday work-related situations.
The session finished with a goal-setting workshop, helping participants break goals into manageable, achievable steps that support confidence and sustainable progress toward employment.
We’re so excited to continue this journey in Part 2 next week!

What a way to wrap up December… Our final RISE Occupational Therapy social group of the year was full of laughs, connection and festive fun 🎄🎁
From Bad Santa, board games and great chats, it reminded us why this group means so much to us here at Anchor Therapy.
Seeing the RISE group grow from strength to strength has been a huge highlight of 2025 and we were absolutely honoured to receive a Highly Commended prize as finalists for the Ann Beckett Award with AOTI 🏆
Having the judges join us, get involved and bring out their competitive sides made for such a fun and memorable afternoon 😄

The Anchor Therapy team ✨ We may be a small practice, but our team is mighty. It’s in how we show up for each other and for our clients, that the magic of real, meaningful support unfolds.
This all began in the spare room of my apartment, just me and a passion for true OT. To watch Anchor Therapy grow into the team we are today between Dublin, Cork and online nationwide is pretty special 💛
Thank you to these wonderful OTs for their skills, knowledge, passion and friendship.

Welcome Jack, our new Senior OT offering face to face and online support from our Dublin office!
Jack supports people to identify what matters most to them whether it’s work, study, daily routines, connection with others, or feeling more regulated and confident. Jack uses a neuroaffirmative, recovery-oriented approach, helping our teenagers and adults to understand their strengths, honour their needs, and build strategies that genuinely fit who they are.

Reflecting on the amazing journey of one of our young clients at Anchor Therapy.
Just a year ago, she quietly celebrated her 21st at home, feeling lost in a job she didn’t enjoy and unsure of her direction in life. She was sad, lonely and anxious. She reached out to Anchor Therapy hoping to find meaning and purpose.
With support from her OT this young woman explored her passions and values, completed a college application process, and took small safe steps toward a future she truly wanted.
Now, she’s thriving as a student, feeling more confident making new friends, enjoying campus life, and even attending her first house party! This year, she’ll celebrate her birthday at the cinema with her new friends.
That’s the power of OT 🩵

Mission:
Our mission is to increase options for people wishing to access best practice health care. While traditional models of clinic-based treatments are highly effective for some, they are not always suitable for everyone. At Anchor Therapy, you have the choice. You can come to a room in Ballsbridge, or our OT can bring evidence-based and person-centred health treatments to you in your place of work, at home, in school or in other any other context that lends itself to benefiting you.
Vision:
Our vision is that the people of Ireland who are struggling with their mental health will be able to collaborate with a highly skilled, recovery focused and passionate group of professionals who work on the one team in the community.
Anchor Therapy is a safe place where everyone is welcome.
