Rediscover Balance and Direction in Your Life

I am Marcello Massaro, a Chartered Psychologist with the Psychological Society of Ireland.
I hold a Master’s Degree in Clinical and Community Psychology from Urbino University, Italy, and an M.A. in Psychoanalytical Psychotherapy from Independent College, Dublin.

For over fifteen years, I have worked in Ireland as a Clinical Psychologist and Psychotherapist, supporting individuals facing challenges such as:

Anxiety and depression

Grief and loss

Low self-esteem

Relationship difficulties

Eating disorders

I have also trained and volunteered with several Irish mental health charities, particularly in the areas of su***de prevention, bereavement counselling, and emotional support.

My Therapeutic Approach

My development as a therapist has been shaped by psychology, philosophy, and contemporary neurological research.
Early in my career, I integrated a range of approaches — psychodynamic, cognitive, humanistic, positive psychology, and coaching — to meet clients’ diverse needs.

Over time, I found my preferred framework in Schema Therapy, which I value for its balance of depth and clarity. It allows us to explore the roots of unhelpful inner patterns while providing practical tools for real change. In my experience, it is one of the most effective approaches for achieving long-term growth and emotional balance.

Complementary Disciplines

To broaden my perspective, I have also studied NLP, Life Coaching, and Mindfulness.
These disciplines enrich my work but never replace its solid clinical foundation.
At the heart of every therapeutic process lies the relationship itself — a space built on empathy, authenticity, and respect, where meaningful transformation can occur.

Online Therapy

I now work exclusively online, as I believe geographical distance does not diminish the depth or effectiveness of therapy.
In fact, online sessions often make psychological support more accessible, flexible, and consistent, fitting more naturally into people’s lives.
Only in particularly severe clinical situations may a different setting be necessary, but for most clients, online therapy is equally effective and meaningful as in-person work.

A Personal Journey

Therapy is never a standardised path — it is a deeply personal journey.
My role is to help you recognise the patterns that hold you back, understand their origins, and develop new ways of thinking and living that bring greater freedom, resilience, and inner peace.
