Rosacea is a very distressing skin condition. It causes extreme redness and irritation across the cheeks and nose often spreading to the whole face. There are usually spots, bumps, itchiness and heat and as there are many triggers it can be extremely hard to keep under control.
Here is some fantastic feedback from one of my patients struggling with rosacea.

Busyness can be hard to break free from. There always seems to be lots of important things to be done; at home, at work, for others. Sometimes this can feel really overwhelming and it can feel like all these things are more important than looking after ourselves.
BUT! That is what we need to do, that is what is good for us. We need to prioritise ourselves and the rest will get done when it gets done ;)

One of the things I see most in my clinic is anxiety caused by the strive to be perfect. We all make mistakes; this is part of being human and is also how we learn the most. We must be kind to ourselves when we make mistakes and teach our children that making mistakes is part of life and how we grow.

Being busy is seen as a sign of success for many, a badge of honour. But never having anytime to do nothing isn't good for our mind, body or soul. Just having 5 or 10 mins each day to clear our minds of all thoughts and let ourselves heal has many benefits.

New month new theme! Busyness is this month's theme; well really the art of not being busy!
Being "REALLY BUSY" is like a badge of honour theses days, we feel pressure from all sides to always be doing something. This isn't good for our mental health. I am definitely guilty of this myself, just yesterday I found myself feeling too busy with wiping counters and sweeping the floor to fully listen to my son's latest Premier League summary. Madness!
This month I will share some tips and info on how to re-prioritise and re-balance and still get things done :)

Exercise is the best stress reliever. On Monday I was feeling under pressure on many fronts, the last thing I felt like was going running as I was "SO BUSY" being stressed about my lengthy to do list. But out I went and did some hill running, it was hard but amazing, I came back completely de-stressed and got through all my jobs in half the time I expected! So get out, push yourself to your limit(not someone else's!) and feel better :)
