I'm delighted to be back teaching yoga this term and have a 9-week course starting on Thursday the 2nd of February at Luisne Centre for Wellbeing in Bray, from 6.15 to 7.30.

The class will be suitable for all levels of experience and informed by the therapeutic approach to yoga. I believe passionately in molding the yoga to fit your body rather than the other way around. We will gather every week for an hour and 15 minutes to enjoy some mindful movement to connect body, mind and soul, followed by some nourishing breathing practices and finally a soothing deep relaxation to have you leaving feeling calm and grounded.

Our first class on the 2nd of February will honour the goddess of Brigid and welcome in the spring and all that is waiting to awaken within us.

I don't tend to make new years resolutions or feel the need to jump into new routines at the start of the new year as I feel we're still all in hibernation mode but with the coming of spring and the (slight) lengthening of days in early February I feel more called to get out and try new things, so this is why I decided to stay in the gentler, slower pace of winter for the month of January and start this course just in time for Imbolg/St Brigid's Day instead.

Imbolg which literally means in the belly or womb is traditionally for sewing the seeds of what you'd like to manifest in the coming year, just as the seeds are starting to germinate in the soil all around us in the natural world. This is therefore an ideal time for manifestation, starting new projects and building new habits.

Spaces are limited so DM me to book a place or use the contact details above or through my website. Please share with anyone you think might be interested.

I took a little time out from social media to explore the world and myself 🌅

Back in June I felt really burnt out after what had been a very busy few months and I really only intended to plug out for the summer as I was travelling the world and wanted to be fully present in the experience, but when I came home I launched immediately into work and then starting my second masters on a part-time basis so it's been really nourishing for me to take time away from the online world to focus on the day to day tasks which have been many!

Now I'm ready to get back to some of the things I love like coaching and yoga and have some exciting events and plans lined up for this year already.

I feel it's so important for me to take breaks from social media, constant online connection and too much time on devices in order to remember what's really important in life and gain perspective. 🌍

In this 90-minute workshop I hope to create a safe space for you to connect with the more creative side of yourself. We often can feel as if we have no right to be creative in our lives in favour for more practical or productive things but creativity is such an important part of keeping our souls happy. It’s not always easy to access our most creative selves but through the power of connecting to the different phases or the menstrual cycle this can become a lot easier.

Over the course of the workshop I’ll take you on a journey with some meditation, visualisation, gentle movement, inner child work and creative expression to tap into your most creative and wild self, your inner Creatrix!

Link to tickets is in my bio ❤️

Excited to announce that I’m leading a workshop entitled Unleashing your Inner Creatrix as part of Revolution Period 2022 with and a bunch of other amazing women with some great offerings. The whole festival takes place on the weekend of the 27th to the 29th of May both online and in person in the Fumbally Studios and ALL proceeds are going to charity, supporting Homeless Period and the provision of eco-friendly menstrual products.

My workshop will be on Sunday the 29th from 4 - 5.30 pm and tickets are a very reasonable €15. Link to book is in my bio and a further description of the workshop is below. Spaces are limited and tickets for the weekend are likely to sell out so grab your place soon!

A Creatrix is a woman who is deeply connected to herself as a Woman and the Feminine Source of Creative power. She gives rise to desires, gives birth to ideas and life of all kinds. By working with the Menstrual Cycle and connecting to the Divine Feminine, we will explore how to uncover our most creative selves and how to embrace all aspects of life with a playful curiosity.

We will explore how to best support ourselves throughout the autumn and winter of our menstrual cycles so that we can explore and unleash the full creative vitality that awaits us in spring and summer.

This workshop will involve self-reflection and self-connection through journaling practices, a sharing circle, guided visualisations, inner child work and creative movement.

Please bring a yoga mat and a cushion to sit on, a journal and something to write with, and a picture of you as a child if possible.

This workshop is open to everyone, whether you believe you’re a creative person or not. In the words of the ever-wise Creativity Writer Elizabeth Gilbert – ‘if you’re alive, you’re a creative person.’

When we are living as our creative selves, we are living as our best, most authentic selves. We’re not allowing ourselves to be held back by fear or a sense of inadequacy, we’re blazing ahead as the true, wondrous beings that we are, fully alive and present in the moment.

Creativity involves allowing yourself to be in a dance with the universe, to allow your sense of wonder to grow and expand and capturing that magnificence, even if only for a fleeting second. 💫

Earth Day 2022 🌍🌳

I am the Earth
And the Earth is me.
Each blade of grass,
Each honey tree,
Each bit of mud,
And stick and stone
Is blood and muscle,
Skin and bone.

And just as I
Need every bit
Of me to make
My body fit,
So Earth needs
Grass and stone and tree
And things that grow here
Naturally.

That’s why we
Celebrate this day.
That’s why across
The world we say:
As long as life,
As dear, as free,
I am the Earth
And the Earth is me.

For any primary school teachers out there - I return tonight for another webinar hosted by entitled “Creative Language Development through Yoga, Intuitive Movement and Dance". Further details below:

In this webinar we will look at how the development of oral language can be enhanced by a kinaesthetic learning approach. We will examine the various different movement capacities of the body through both yoga and intuitive movement/dance and how to empower children and increase their bodily awareness through learning and creating their own vocabulary to describe their physical movements.

This webinar will be experiential in nature and I encourage all participants to take part in the movement and mindfulness activities if they can in order to have a better understanding of how to implement these practices in the classroom.

For any teachers out there - I’m running the first in a set of webinars online tonight at 7pm with Tralee Education Centre. Tonight’s is entitled ‘Processing emotions through mindfulness, intuitive movement and dance’. The workshop is free and you can register at edcentretralee.ie. Full description below:

This webinar will be the first of two in exploring how to use the practices of mindfulness, yoga and intuitive movement in enhancing emotional processing and creative language development in primary school children.

In this webinar we will look at how mindfulness can be an effective tool in allowing children to access their emotions. We will look at how to teach children to experience their emotions in the body rather than trying to process them with the mind alone and explore intuitive movement and dance as vehicles to experience and express feelings and emotions in a more kinaesthetic way.

This webinar will be experiential in nature and I encourage all participants to take part in the movement and mindfulness activities if they can in order to have a better understanding of how to implement these practices in the classroom.
