Throwback to 11 Years Ago – Digital Innovators Award

11 years ago Canavan Byrne proudly won a Digital Innovators Award for our eLearning Academy.

At the time, digital learning in the early years sector was still emerging. We believed strongly that accessible, high-quality online training could transform how services engage with compliance, leadership, and professional development.

Fast forward to today and our Academy continues to go from strength to strength.

✔️ Expanded course library
✔️ Sector-specific compliance training
✔️ Practical, regulation-informed content
✔️ A growing learner base

What hasn’t changed is our commitment to quality, relevance and supporting providers to meet regulatory and professional standards with confidence.

And we’re only getting started.

We have exciting developments ahead as we continue to invest in innovation, technology and sector-led solutions.

Thank you to our team, trainers and clients who have been part of the journey over the past decade.

Here’s to the next chapter 🚀

Today marks Ash Wednesday and the beginning of Lent.

For Christians, Lent is a time to reflect, show kindness, and embrace new beginnings. It’s an opportunity to pause, think about our actions, and focus on caring for ourselves and others.

Over the coming weeks, services might consider discussing with children:

- Small ways to show kindness to friends and family
- Practicing patience and understanding
- Saying thank you and showing gratitude
- Thinking about one small positive change they could make

Encouraging these conversations can help children understand the meaning of Lent in an age-appropriate and meaningful way.

Wishing everyone who celebrates a peaceful and meaningful Lenten season.

The Affordability Narrative vs Workforce Reality in Early Years & School Age Childcare

Affordable childcare is essential for families, but what about the services and educators who make it possible? While funding and fee reductions ease the cost for parents, many providers face rising operational expenses, recruitment challenges, and increased workloads.

Our latest blog explores why affordability without sustainability isn’t true progress and why the sector must balance family access, workforce stability, and service quality.

Do you have children in your service who celebrate this event? This is a great opportunity to support them to experience and share their traditions, stories, and celebrations with their peers.
