Important announcement for the early years sector

Minister for Children, Disability and Equality Norma Foley has introduced a new €10 million capital funding scheme to support the expansion of early learning and childcare services across the country.

The Building Blocks Extension Scheme (Phase 2) will provide funding to both community and private services participating in Core Funding, enabling them to extend their existing premises and create additional full-time places for children aged 1–3 years.

Grants available:

• Private services: €50,000 – €265,000
