Sarah is one of many patients whose journey was transformed this year thanks to new diagnostic equipment, including the AS-410M Automated Sectioner, which was funded by our donors at . With this technology, our team can prepare samples more efficiently and give patients answers sooner, easing anxiety and enabling timely treatment.

Thanks to donors, innovations like this are making a real difference.

Ready for an unforgettable adventure in 2026? 🚵‍♀️

Imagine cycling from Paris to the sunshine of Nice, surrounded by the most beautiful scenery and a team cheering you on… all while raising vital funds for St James’s Hospital Foundation 🙏

Paris2Nice has already helped raise more than €6.5 million for Irish charities, including an incredible €726,000 this year from just 50 cyclists. Every participant truly makes an impact, and every cent you raise goes straight to your chosen charity.

You don’t need to be a seasoned cyclist. Complete beginners are encouraged, with weekly training spins, guidance and a brilliant community to help you get to the finish line. All you need is commitment and a cause you care about.

Yesterday our ambassador, Zoe, joined broadcaster and friend of St James’s, Miriam, on her show ‘Sunday with Miriam’ to share her extraordinary story. Having survived life-altering burns and the tragic loss of her husband, Brian, in the Greek wildfires in 2018, Zoe’s journey of healing has been nothing short of remarkable, and supported by the incredible team at St James’s Hospital.

As our official ambassador, Zoe continues to shine a light on the phenomenal work of our Burns Unit. From life-saving surgeries to the ongoing care from doctors, nurses, therapists, and specialists, showing the dedication, expertise, and compassion that transforms patients’ lives every day.

What an unforgettable evening at our Gala last Friday! ✨

With over 250 supporters in the room, we celebrated 300 years of learning, experience and excellence, and shared a first glimpse of our new campus — a campus that will place St James’s among the top five academic health science campuses in Europe and establish us as a global leader in healthcare.

Special thanks to our Foundation Board for their constant support and to and for sharing their personal connections to St James’s.

And of course, a huge thank you to everyone else who attended, supported, and donated - your generosity and spirit make life-changing care, research, and innovation possible for our patients and community 💙
