Today we celebrate all the wonderful mothers, grandmothers and mother figures who are part of The Fern Dean community. 💖

Mother’s Day is a lovely opportunity to recognise the love, strength and care that mothers have shared with their families throughout the years. The stories, memories and wisdom they bring are truly treasured in our home. 🌷

We hope today is filled with warm wishes, fond memories and special moments with loved ones.

⛪ We were delighted to recently celebrate a beautiful Mass here at The Fern Dean, officiated by Fr. Philip Bradley 🙏. It was a meaningful occasion for our residents, providing a time for reflection and prayer.

The service was made even more special with wonderful music provided by members of our very own staff 🎶👏. Their contribution created a warm and uplifting atmosphere that was enjoyed by everyone in attendance.

A heartfelt thank you to Fr. Philip Bradley for leading the Mass and to our talented staff who shared their music with us ♥️

Did you know some of our team at The Fern Dean are not only great team members, but also very talented singers? 🎤

Recently a few of them shared their musical talents with residents, leading a singalong that everyone really enjoyed. Music is always a great way to bring people together, and it was lovely to see residents and staff getting involved and enjoying the moment 🎶

At The Fern Dean there is always something going on around the home, and it is even more special when our own team help make those special moments happen.🎉

At The Fern Dean today, we are celebrating the women who shape our home every single day. From the caring hands of our wonderful team to the inspiring lives and stories of our residents, women are truly at the heart of our home.💜

International Women’s Day is a chance to recognise the strength, wisdom and resilience of women across generations. This year’s theme, “Give To Gain”, highlights how supporting one another helps create stronger, more connected communities.

We are proud to honour the women who bring kindness, laughter and inspiration to The Fern Dean. Today is a celebration of you. 💜

🎶 Live music at The Fern Dean Blackrock 🎶

We recently had the pleasure of welcoming Juni and Ruarí to Fern Dean Blackrock for a fantastic afternoon of live music. These two are incredibly talented and had the whole room enjoying the performance from start to finish.🎉

There was plenty of toe tapping, singing along and great atmosphere throughout. Our residents absolutely loved it.👏

A big thank you to Juni and Ruarí for such a wonderful performance. We will definitely be seeing more of them again!👏

Our recent showcase of the Men’s Club at The Fern Dean was a fantastic success ✂️🧔

The morning began with grooming sessions from talented barbers, Pedro and Bernie, who had everyone looking sharp and feeling their best. There is nothing like a fresh trim and a good chat to set the tone for the day 😊

Following the grooming sessions, the group enjoyed lunch and drinks together, with plenty of laughter and great conversation around the table. The afternoon continued with everyone settling in to watch the match, cheering along and sharing their thoughts on the game ⚽📺

The Men’s Club was a wonderful opportunity for connection, camaraderie and some well deserved relaxation. We are already looking forward to the next one 👏

✨We were delighted to welcome the Adante Choir Group to The Fern Dean recently. Their beautiful voices and music filled the room, and we were thrilled to have such a great crowd of residents and staff come together to enjoy the music.🎶

Moments like these remind us of the joy that music can bring and how special it is to share it with friends old and new. A huge thank you to the Adante Choir for a truly fantastic performance, we can’t wait to have you back! 🎵💛

Daria truly embraced the theme and brought style, sparkle and plenty of smiles to our celebration. Her fantastic effort added an extra touch of fun to the day and helped make it even more special for our residents and team. 💕✨

♥️ In the lead up to Valentine’s Day, we were delighted to host special Valentine’s treat for couples living in our home. It provided a wonderful opportunity for residents to enjoy this occasion together and celebrate their relationships in a warm and beautifully prepared setting.✨

It was truly special to see couples sharing this meaningful occasion, enjoying the atmosphere, and spending quality time together. Moments like these are a lovely reminder of the importance of connection, companionship, and creating opportunities for residents to celebrate life’s special occasions.♥️
