♥️ In the lead up to Valentine’s Day, we were delighted to host special Valentine’s treat for couples living in our home. It provided a wonderful opportunity for residents to enjoy this occasion together and celebrate their relationships in a warm and beautifully prepared setting.✨

It was truly special to see couples sharing this meaningful occasion, enjoying the atmosphere, and spending quality time together. Moments like these are a lovely reminder of the importance of connection, companionship, and creating opportunities for residents to celebrate life’s special occasions.♥️

🌿🌤️ St Brigid’s Day greetings from The Fern Dean 🌤️🌿

St Brigid’s Day, celebrated each year on 1st February, marks a meaningful turning point in the Irish year, when winter begins to loosen its grip and the first signs of spring appear. St Brigid has long been associated with light, protection, generosity and care for others, values that have been passed down through Irish homes and communities for centuries.💛

The day is traditionally linked to Imbolc, an ancient celebration of renewal and new beginnings. Customs such as weaving St Brigid’s crosses from rushes and welcoming light into the home were ways of expressing hope for health, safety and wellbeing in the year ahead.💛

At The Fern Dean, we are proud to honour these traditions and the sense of continuity they bring. We wish our residents, families and wider community a peaceful St Brigid’s Day and a gentle start to spring.🙏

🎉The Fern Dean was a real hive of activity this week! 🎶🥁

Throughout the home, residents enjoyed a lively drumming session, live music on our second floor, and Drumtastic bringing plenty of energy to the ground floor. It was wonderful to see so many different activities taking place at once, offering something for everyone to enjoy.🎉

There is always multiple daily activities happening at The Fern Dean everyday to keep our residents engaged and entertained, and days like this really highlight the vibrant atmosphere in our home. A big thank you to everyone involved, our residents, activity teams, and performers for making it such a great day 💛

✨This week at The Fern Dean, we had the pleasure of welcoming a violinist into our home, and it was a really lovely experience for everyone 🎻

The music filled the room and created a calm, warm atmosphere, with many residents stopping to listen, chat about familiar tunes, and enjoy the moment together. It was simple, genuine, and very special.💛

A big thank you to the violinist for taking the time to play for our residents, and to our staff for organising and supporting the session. Most importantly, thank you to our residents for getting involved and making it such an enjoyable afternoon.👏
