We had a lovely morning playing games at Glenaulin Nursing Home, with our residents enjoying plenty of fun, laughter, and friendly competition. Everyone had a great time together — moments like these make our days extra special 💙

💙 Investing in Our People 💙 Glenaulin Nursing Home is one of 10 nursing homes within the Grace Healthcare Ireland group, where supporting the staff to grow and develop within their roles is at the heart of what they do.

On Friday, February 20th, we were delighted that our Activities Coordinators, Nina, Roberta and Josefa attended a dedicated training and development day at the Carlton Hotel Dublin, alongside Activities Coordinators from Grace Healthcare homes across Dublin, Cork, Monaghan and Cavan.

The day provided a valuable opportunity to learn, share ideas, and strengthen connections — all with one shared goal: enriching the daily lives of our residents through meaningful activities and person-centred care.

A sincere thank you to Group Activities Coordinator, Kevin, for organising such a positive and engaging training day.💙

Our residents from Glenaulin Nursing Home enjoyed a fantastic day out at the National Concert Hall, and what a memorable experience it was 🎼

A big thank you to the Garda Síochána for their assistance with the bus and for the lovely company along the way 🙌🏻

Our residents had the best time, reminiscing, singing along, and enjoying the timeless songs of Ireland — bringing back many happy memories 🇮🇪🎵

A truly special day out for everyone involved 💚

Valentine’s Day was filled with love, laughter, and special moments here at Glenaulin Nursing Home 💐

Our lovely couples Tina & Larry and Marion & Nicolas, enjoyed a romantic dinner together, making the day truly memorable ❤️🍽️

In the evening, residents and staff had a fantastic time at a beautiful candlelight concert with John, enjoying great music and wonderful company 🎶🕯️

We would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Workhuman in Parkwest, Dublin, for their very generous donation of flowers, delicious doughnuts, and lovely Valentine’s letters for each resident 🌸🍩💌

Everyone had the best time, and it truly was a day to remember 💕

Happy St. Valentine's Day from us all here in Glenaulin Nursing Home 💖

We have been celebrating St. Valentine all week in our Arts & Crafts activities, sing-songs and reminiscing chats.

Residents from Glenaulin enjoyed a lovely trip to Ballyfermot Civic Centre, getting out and about and soaking up the atmosphere. Brilliant Music as always, and it was a great opportunity to enjoy a change of scenery, good company, and a few smiles along the way 😊

Morning Exercises at Glenaulin Nursing Home.

Our residents at Glenaulin enjoyed a fun and energetic morning taking part in boxing exercises and chairrobics 🥊🪑

These sessions are a great way to stay active, improve mobility, and start the day with plenty of smiles and positivity. A wonderful morning of movement and motivation for everyone involved 🌟

Arty Afternoons at Glenaulin – Celebrating St. Brigid

At the beginning of February, our Arty Afternoons were lovingly dedicated to St. Brigid, our secondary patron saint of Ireland.

Residents enjoyed a wonderful hands-on afternoon making St. Brigid’s crosses and colouring beautiful images of St. Brigid, while sharing fond memories of times long ago when crosses were proudly waved and displayed in homes. It was a meaningful and nostalgic experience for all involved.

Beautiful Ann celebrated a very special milestone this week – her 80th birthday, and may we say, she looks absolutely fantastic 💐

Ann enjoyed a wonderful afternoon and evening celebrating with her daughters at the West County Hotel, before returning to Glenaulin to share her birthday cake with fellow residents at teatime. It was a lovely day filled with smiles, laughter, and celebrations all around 🎂💖

Happy 80th Birthday, Ann – what a truly special occasion!
