Dear Dublin Cycling Campaigners,

For those of you living within or close to (or with friends in) the South Dublin County area, we note that the consultation on the generally very positive "Knocklyon to Ballyboden Active and Sustainable Travel Scheme" closes at 5pm today (Fri 13 March).

If you can carve out 10 minutes to make a submisison on this -- endorsing the proposals for high quality segregated cycle infrastructure, including reconfigured/safer junctions, plus improved footpaths/crossings/landscapings etc., that would be brilliant.

Only takes 2 minutes to create a SDCC account if you don't already have one -- and then you pop your text into a little form. All really easy.

Irish Cycling Campaign position on why mandatory helmet and hi-vis laws are not the answer to road danger issues.

Irish Cycling Campaign is the member for Ireland of the European Cyclists’ Federation (ECF), and we support the ECF’s position on reducing road danger and helmets. In summary, their position is as follows: ECF believe that what a cyclist wears should be his/her own choice. We think that wearing ...

We know their expertise is already feeding into the Dáil debate on road safety today, and we're optimistic that the committee chair's support for reform of the RSA will actually help that happen, benefiting road safety for all.

Our Story

The Dublin Cycling Campaign is an independent, voluntary cycling advocacy group that has been working to improve Dublin for people who walk and cycle since 1993.

We are involved in a range of activities aimed at improving cycling, including public demonstrations, consultations with local and national authorities, political lobbying, and direct action.

Dublin Cycling Campaign is heavily reliant on its members and volunteers. New members are always welcome and there are a variety of activities that they can get involved in.

We hold monthly public meetings in the Central Hotel on Exchequer Street. The meetings take place at 8pm on the second Monday of the month. Anyone can come along the public meetings and they are a great way to see what Dublin Cycling Campaign is about before committing to becoming a member.
