Maxine Manley Psychologist I am a Counselling Psychologist offering confidential psychological services such as individual psychotherapy, play therapy and assessments.

My name is Maxine Chown and I am a registered Counselling Psychologist who offers psychological services to those in the Pretoria community. I love my job very much and I take care to be thoughtful and compassionate to all my clients. I have worked with many different populations ranging from young children, high school scholars, students, adults, couples, and families. I enjoy working with all people and my main aim in all my services is to empower each person to live their life with insight, peace, and happiness. My professional qualifications include:
BA in Psychology and Sociology – University of Pretoria
BSocSci Honours degree in Psychology (Cum Laude) – University of Pretoria
MA in Community-based Counselling Psychology (Cum Laude) – University of Witwatersrand. Some areas I work in include:

My son and I have loved picking flowers. At a wedding a few weeks ago he gave a picked flower to the bride and he was delighted as to how happy it made her. Since then he gives strangers the flowers he picks and it’s just the sweetest thing. Today the little girl he gave this flower to went and gave that flower to another stranger. The pass on effect of this kind of free kindness just melted my heart. Please do the world a favour and do something kind today. You never know how many people it will reach.
