Walk this evening at 7pm at the new school in Newcastle for .harrybarry 7th week This weeks tip to keep your good mood flowing WATCH YOUR ALCOHOL INTAKE Alcohol, when taking in moderation, helps a person relax, especially in social situations. There is no major health risk associated with alcohol if it is used in a sensible manner. Nonetheless, alcohol is classified as a depressive substance, and in genetically vulnerable people it's misuse can lead to addiction. Try if possible to avoid binge drinking. If you are finding Mondays difficult due to excessive alcohol intake over the weekend, you need to review your drinking habits. Don't let friends dictate your personal drinking patterns. Talk and walk communication is key 🔑

Walk and talk tonight at 7pm at the new school in Newcastle it's the 5th week and this weeks topic is COMMUNICATION An absence of emotional expression makes it difficult to keep your good mood flowing. In particular men in such situations find it difficult to admit to feelings of sadness, confusion and loss, as it is often not socially acceptable for them to do so. So instead of reaching out for help, they conceal their emotions. It is important for all men, women and children to express freely how they feel, without rejection and humiliation. It is so important to keep lines of communication with significant others open, to set aside time to speak with friends loved ones without distractions, and allow them to express any feelings of unhappiness and .harrybarry St Finians Gaa Club

Join us tonight at 7 for the second week of our 8 week walk and talk for mental wellbeing this weeks tip Connect for mental wellbeing. When it comes to wellbeing other people matter. Evidence shows that good relationships with family and friends and our wider communities are important for our mental wellbeing. Human beings are social animals relationships build a sense of belonging and self worth. Strong relationships with family and fiends allow us to share our feelings and know that we are understood. They provide an opportunity to share positive experiences and can give us emotional support. They give us a chance to support others. There is also evidence that wellbeing can be passed on through relationships. Being around other people with strong mental wellbeing can improve your own mental wellbeing. Make an effort to phone people sometimes it's all too easy to text. Speak to someone new today. Have lunch with a colleague, friend or family member. St Finians Gaa Club
