👁️ “For us, aftercare is the foundation of trust.”
At the Wellington Eye Clinic, surgery is just one part of your vision journey.
What makes the biggest difference is everything that comes afterwards, the follow-up, the reassurance, the accessibility, and the care you feel every step of the way.

It’s why patients trust us and why their confidence lasts long after the procedure. Here's a link - https://wellingtoneyeclinic.ie/blog/the-real-difference-happens-after-the-surgery

Did you know your hydration level changes how clearly you can see?

Let's break it down:
More water → lens is fuller → easier focusing up close
Dehydrated → lens thins → distance vision feels sharper
Balanced hydration → your lens works at its best

Save this for later if you want to keep your eyes performing at their best.

Many people are told they can’t have surgery because their prescription is still changing.
In reality, if your eyes are healthy, that change often comes from inconsistent or incorrect vision correction, not instability in the eye itself.

As Mr Arthur Cummings shares, once vision is properly corrected, prescriptions tend to stabilise.

Owning your vision. Not renting it. 👁️

Vision correction isn’t about buying sight. It’s about liberation — the freedom to live without glasses or contact lenses, to wake up and simply see clearly.

At Wellington Eye Clinic we believe vision correction is a partnership between patient and surgeon, a journey toward visual freedom and a better quality of life.

Our Story

The Wellington Eye Clinic was founded in 1980. Since then it has specialized in helping patients eliminate their need for glasses and contact lenses #EveryWakingMinute. The clinic has been at the forefront of vision correction for almost 2 decades and was the very first eye clinic in Europe to purchase an excimer laser (the laser that performs laser vision correction). The clinic prides itself is practicing medicine and vision correction with the highest standards of professional care, integrity and responsibility. We take vision correction seriously. Our medical director, Mr Arthur Cummings FRCSEd, has been voted as one of the Top 100 Most Influential Ophthalmologists worldwide in 2018 and in the Top 10 Leaders in Ophthalmology worldwide in 2019 by readers of The Ophthalmologist. Our approach to something as important as vision correction, is a team approach, and we have some of the very best nurses, optometrists, technicians, administrative personnel and researchers in the country on the team. Eyesight is arguably our most precious and prized sense and we feel honoured when you choose us to help you see better. The first sentence on our mission statement is “Patient satisfaction is our number 1 priority” and we strive to not only provide you with the very best visual outcome, but also the very best experience in dealing with us. We look forward to welcoming you to the Wellington Eye Clinic.
