The right vision correction depends on three things: your lifestyle, your eye anatomy and how your brain adapts. That is why we use lifestyle vision design to personalise whether laser, ICL or lens replacement is the safest and most effective option. Your eyes deserve a tailored plan.

Here’s to a joyful 2026, filled with clarity, connection, and new beginnings.

Worried LASIK harms night vision? Modern treatment zones are wider than your night-time pupil size, helping you see comfortably when driving in the dark.
Today’s LASIK uses larger treatment zones designed to support clear, confident sight even in low-light conditions.

Wishing You a Peaceful Christmas 🎅✨

From all of us at the Wellington Eye Clinic, thank you for your trust and support throughout 2025. This time of year reminds us that the smallest things often matter most, seeing your children’s faces light up, reading a card from a loved one, or simply taking in the magic of the season.

That’s why we do what we do. Because good vision means more than clear eyesight, it means living fully, staying connected, and embracing the moments that matter.

We wish you and your loved ones a safe, restful, and joyful Christmas.
Warm wishes,

Our Story

The Wellington Eye Clinic was founded in 1980. Since then it has specialized in helping patients eliminate their need for glasses and contact lenses #EveryWakingMinute. The clinic has been at the forefront of vision correction for almost 2 decades and was the very first eye clinic in Europe to purchase an excimer laser (the laser that performs laser vision correction). The clinic prides itself is practicing medicine and vision correction with the highest standards of professional care, integrity and responsibility. We take vision correction seriously. Our medical director, Mr Arthur Cummings FRCSEd, has been voted as one of the Top 100 Most Influential Ophthalmologists worldwide in 2018 and in the Top 10 Leaders in Ophthalmology worldwide in 2019 by readers of The Ophthalmologist. Our approach to something as important as vision correction, is a team approach, and we have some of the very best nurses, optometrists, technicians, administrative personnel and researchers in the country on the team. Eyesight is arguably our most precious and prized sense and we feel honoured when you choose us to help you see better. The first sentence on our mission statement is “Patient satisfaction is our number 1 priority” and we strive to not only provide you with the very best visual outcome, but also the very best experience in dealing with us. We look forward to welcoming you to the Wellington Eye Clinic.
