Hey it's been a while! Thought I'd be posting quite a bit this past year but unfortunately I had to take care of me too.
Here's something I hope will help.
Around 2014 I watched a tv show on how animals would shake away trauma and stress after fighting or escaping a predator to return to equilibrium. This final stage of the fight, flight freeze process had somehow been forgotten by us allowing the trauma to stay in the body and cause harm. I remember thinking that if this was the case then I would do this myself and used Taylor Swift's song "Shake it off" which seemed quite appropriate to me. What this did was to not only release the stress and complete the circle but also make me laugh which is always a good thing.
Anyway, I watched this to learn a little more about releasing trauma from the body and at the end what do you know, they show you how to shake and even mentioned Taylor's song. I put it on and shook my way through it - felt great doing so.
have a watch and then shake it off at the end.
Deep massage, acupuncture and other body work can also help to release trapped trauma and anxiety from the body.
Keep well and take care.
