my life...my path...my passion…my soul expression…
I started my journey in life by waking up each day in the countryside house surrounded by a vineyard, fruit trees and berry bushes with the Good Morning song of a rooster announcing the beginning of a new day, new adventure, new challenges.
I consider myself very lucky as I grew up having my granny beside me each day. Only by being a parent myself and being gone through a good part of my life I understand how many precious moments young parents lose around their children and how much having a grandparent beside you as a child means to you.
My grandmother always made her own products... When I was growing up, I remember being fascinated just watching her make a cream or shampoo from the natural ingredients she had at home... she rinsed my hair with lemon or homemade apple cider vinegar in the summer to add shine...The best shampoo ever was a lye made of wood ashes.... how wonderful!!!
She was the one who taught me and nurtured inside me the love for alcohol and cosmetics making, for herbal ancient remedies. She was my first teacher giving me wise and very precious knowledge which cannot be found in books or online and no Lecturer will teach you this.
The ancestral technology which was transmitted carefully trough time from one generation to another of home making wine, herbal tinctures, creating herbal teas for different illnesses to make sure that cold winter won’t be so harsh on our family, extracting buckthorn, sunflower and grapeseed oils, making of soap, flower pomades, hair shampoos and conditioners, creams, balms and lotions. These were my busy weekends and some of seasonal work, which included also carefully picking up and drying herbs, berries, roots, etc.
I grew up considering this as an ordinary day to day work and sometimes I was already tired of it, but I would love to comeback to those times at least for a day to enjoy the process and the beautiful aromas and peaceful ambiance around the house.
That's where it started for me mixing and making my own products using natural ingredients, combining herbs and essential oils to create products that are richer and do not have nastiness in them. I just love it...whether it's experimenting with new ranges or making custom products to suit my customers’ needs. It's my passion...a passion which I have it for about 28 years now...
My first priority in life was the best interest of my family so my passion for handcrafted skincare products, make up, fragrances and fashion wasn't forgotten just went parallel with my work ... as I always explored through research, experimenting with new formulas and studying new things...
Now, when I am almost 45 years of age and my two beautiful daughters are fully grown up, I can transform my passion into my permanent work.... and this is such a joy...to be able to start my day by doing what I enjoy the most... I hope my work brings as much joy to you using them as I have making them.
