Yesterday we hosted an information stand in the Hospital with the Hospice Foundation, raising awareness about the power of books in helping children and families cope with grief.

One of the most protective factors for how a child manages loss is open communication at home. Stories and books can be powerful tools:
- Giving children language for feelings they don’t yet understand
- Helping families find a shared language to talk about grief
- Supporting children to express and process their emotions

The Irish Hospice Foundation have created a special bookshelf to guide parents, carers & supporters in finding the right book for their family. Explore it here: https://bit.ly/3JKAX45

Together, we can make sure no child feels alone in their grief.
