Dr Casey established Optimal Life in 2017 having observed a significant proportion of patients presenting to primary care with high levels of burnout, stress, and work/life dissatisfaction. She notes that a major contributor to people's stress is a lack of meaning at work, overwhelming workload, and poor work-life balance. Coupled with poor lifestyle habits this often results in individuals who are unhappy, unhealthy, unmotivated, and under-performing. Dr Casey graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 2004 with a 1st class Honours degree in Psychology. She subsequently graduated with Honours in Medicine from UCD in 2009 and completed her GP training with TCD in 2014. She qualified as a Personal and Business Coach in 2016 via the irish Lifecoach Institute. She is currently completing a dual MSc in Applied Positive Psychology and Coaching Psychology at the University of East London. Dr Casey’s unique combination of expertise in behaviour change psychology and lifestyle medicine ideally places her to help optimise the performance, leadership, health and wellbeing of individuals and organisations. She provides a range of services including Executive Wellbeing and Performance Coaching, Health and Wellbeing Coaching, Positive Psychology Coaching, Cognitive Behavioural Coaching.
