Culture Week Spotlight 🇺🇸🇷🇴— From our scheduler Jessica
In both Romanian and American cultures, care is more than a feeling — it’s a way of life.
We love involving our loved ones in our plans. Making sure they know they belong reassures them that they are included and valued. In Romania, this often means gathering around the table, preparing food together, and making space for every voice — even the quiet ones.
Showing care is often as simple as paying attention and making an effort. I’ve learned that giving your loved ones your focused time makes them feel heard, supported, and truly seen. Whether it’s helping with a task or just sitting together in silence, it’s the intention that matters.
We also cherish the quiet power of a smile. A caring smile is like a warm porch light in the dark — it doesn’t speak, but it says everything. Its presence tells the person approaching:
“You are belong here.”
“You are safe here.”
“You are welcome here.”
During Culture Week, I’m proud to celebrate the traditions that shaped me — where care is woven into every gesture, every gathering, and every smile.
