We often overcomplicate what support looks like.

We spend months writing big DEI policies and planning awareness events.
But for a wheelchair user or a neurodivergent employee, the biggest barriers are often the smallest things.

It’s the heavy plant pot blocking the ramp.
It’s the shiny floor wax causing sensory overload.
It’s the lack of contrast on a sign.

Success isn't just about the big strategy.
Success is reducing the daily friction that wears your people down.

👇 What is one "small" operational change that made a big difference for your team?

You should break up this Valentine's.

Toxic relationships don't just happen between people, they happen between people and places.

If your office has:

🚩 Heavy doors that fight you...

🚩 Acoustics that exhaust you...

🚩 Lighting that gives you a headache...

It’s time to break up with bad design.

Your employees deserve a workplace that loves them back.

Stop trying to attract talent with perks they can't use.

With Valentine's Day coming up, we’ve been thinking a lot about love languages, which is a big part of any relationship, even professional ones.

You can buy all the beanbags and pizza you want but if your "Words of Affirmation" (DEI Statement) don't match your "Acts of Service" (Fixing the heavy door), employees won't last.

Real inclusion isn't a perk. It's the baseline for a committed relationship with your team.

👇 How do you define feeling valued at work?

I’ll go first: Clear expectations & autonomy.

Eli Lilly is a company built on data and precision and they wanted their accessibility strategy to match that standard.

Managing 35 locations worldwide means moving beyond ad-hoc feedback and local anecdotes.

It requires standardised, comparable data.

By partnering with Mobility Mojo, Lilly replaced subjective reports with objective metrics, gaining the clarity they needed to drive inclusion at scale.

08:45: Arrival (Revolving door is too fast)

08:50: Security (Pass scanner is too high)

08:55: Coffee (Touchscreen has no tactile mode)

09:00: Meeting (Acoustics make it hard to hear)

By 9:05 AM, your employee is already exhausted

For a neurodivergent employee or a wheelchair user, the commute doesn't end at the front door. It ends when they finally sit at their desk.

If the revolving door, the security gate and the coffee machine are all battles... how much energy is left for the actual work?

Inclusion isn't just a policy.

It's the path from the door to the desk.

Walk your floor with fresh eyes...

How do you pitch accessibility to a skeptical Board?

For Margot Slattery at ISS, the pitch isn't complicated. It comes down to three things:

Attraction: Finding the people you need.

Retention: Keeping the people you have.

Cost: The price of losing both.

You can’t complain about a talent shortage if your workplace is designed to exclude 1.3 billion people globally.

Margot breaks down why the "Business Case" for inclusion is actually just a common sense case for growth.

You can’t manage a global portfolio if you are speaking three different languages...

We are reaching the end of January, the regional reports are coming in and for most global real estate leaders, the headache is just starting.

Your US team is reporting against ADA codes. Your UK team is referencing Part M. Your EU team is citing EAA.

You aren't looking at a global strategy, you're looking at a translation problem.

How do you prioritise budget when you can’t compare the data? How do you report "progress" to the board when every region measures it differently?

Mobility Mojo solves the translation problem. We give you one single source of truth across your entire portfolio.

No matter the local regulations, the standard of human experience remains the same.

Stop trying to compare apples to oranges. Start by getting a clear baseline of where you actually stand today.

If you have 250,000 employees, you aren't just running a company. You are running a community.

Large organisations have the power to set the global standard for what "good" looks like. Whether it’s fixing the weight of a bathroom door or normalising movement breaks in a meeting, you have the scale to inspire the rest of the world to do right.

ISS A/S has done just that. In an interview with Margot Slattery she shares how ISS makes sure their spaces are accessible and she gives a good example of how even small things can make a huge difference.

Every time you settle for "meeting the minimum" in 2025, you are creating a hidden debt for 2026.

We see it constantly: Global portfolios that pass the inspection on Day 1, but require expensive operational workarounds on Day 100 because the space causes friction for the people actually trying to work there.

Accessibility issues that show up after occupancy aren't just "snag list" items. They are budget killers.

Stop paying the "Retrofit Tax." Get the visibility you need to solve the problems before the concrete is poured and the leases are signed.

Once you start measuring accessibility, you can’t unsee it.

You start noticing the heavy doors at your local coffee shop. The perfectly placed ramp at the train station. The signage that actually makes sense.

Accessibility isn't just about compliance codes in a binder. It’s about how real people move through the world every single day.

Challenge for the weekend: Look around your own neighborhood. What’s one barrier (or one win) you never noticed before?

We are driven by a single mission: to help organisations unlock the immense value of a truly accessible workplace.

We don’t just want buildings to be accessible; we want companies to thrive because of it.

That is why we are so proud to have started this global journey with partners like Bayer. Their commitment goes beyond checking boxes—they are actively removing barriers to unleash the full potential of their workforce.

As our CEO Stephen Cluskey puts it perfectly: "Companies that prioritise accessibility benefit from the lived experience and creativity of their employees, resulting in more innovation and a stronger bottom line.”

Bayer is leading the way, is your organisation ready to follow?

You might think, "We passed the building code, so we’re accessible."

But does your reception desk have a lowered section?

Is the coffee dock reachable from a seated position?

Can a visually impaired employee navigate your booking system?

True inclusion isn't just about ticking a box; it's about the user experience.

Measure the real accessibility of your workplace with our quick self-assessment.
