If you’re new here, welcome.
I’m Amanda — acupuncturist and facial rejuvenation specialist based in Dundrum, Dublin.

I'm a registered acupuncturist with a background in nursing and over two decades of experience working in health and social care.

My work brings together Traditional Chinese Medicine, acupuncture, and facial rejuvenation techniques to support skin health, stress levels, and overall wellbeing. I look at the skin as part of the whole picture, not something separate from the rest of the body.

In my Dundrum studio, I offer treatments such as acupuncture, cupping, gua sha, microneedling, buccal massage, and my signature Synergy Facial Acupuncture.

Each session is calm, personalised, and designed to support your body so your skin reflects that balance naturally.

October is a reminder that caring for your mental health matters just as much as caring for your body.

If you’ve been feeling anxious, tired, or out of balance, you’re not alone. These small, steady practices can help support your mind and body connection:

- Pause for a few slow, deep breaths throughout the day.
- Try light acupressure at Yin Tang (between the eyebrows) or An Mian (behind the ear) to calm the nervous system.
- Gentle gua sha or facial massage can release tension held in the jaw and temples.
- Ground yourself — a short walk outside, or simply feeling your feet on the floor.
- Prioritise rest: small habits like reducing screen time before bed really do help.

If you’re carrying the weight of someone else’s pain — your care matters, too. Be gentle with yourself.

Health includes harmony of mind, body, and spirit. If things feel heavy, please talk to someone you trust — a friend, family member, GP, or a mental health professional. You deserve support and care, and reaching out is a sign of strength, not weakness.

I’m happy to finally introduce SkinPen Precision — a microneedling device designed for precision, safety, and consistent results.

Made in the U.S. and cleared by the FDA as the first microneedling device of its kind, SkinPen has been used in over 3 million treatments and is supported by more than 90 validation studies. Clinical research shows it can improve skin texture, reduce the appearance of acne scars, and smooth fine lines — and it’s safe for all skin tones.

I'm bringing it into my treatments because effective skin care should also feel considered and comfortable. Curious if it might fit your skin goals? Leave a comment below or send me a message — I’m always happy to answer your questions.

Summer is the season of warmth, joy, and connection in Traditional Chinese Medicine. It’s associated with the Heart — both physically and emotionally.

This time of year encourages us to laugh more, connect with others, and nourish our capacity for joy.

It’s also a reminder to care for the heart by resting when we need to, eating cooling foods, and balancing activity with stillness.

Your summer doesn’t have to be busy to be full.

Your stories matter. I’m so grateful for each one of you who trusts me with your journey to better health and well-being.

Seeing you feel lighter, brighter, and more balanced is why I do what I do.

Acupuncture isn’t what you think.

It’s not painful.
It’s not just for sore backs.
And no, you don’t need to "believe in it" for it to work.

Here are 5 common myths I hear all the time — and the truth behind them:

1) "Acupuncture hurts."
Most people barely feel the needles. Treatments are often so relaxing, people fall asleep.

2) "It’s only for physical pain."
It can support everything from stress and anxiety to skin health, digestion, sleep and hormonal balance.

3) "You need weekly treatments forever."
Not true. Treatment plans are tailored — some need a few sessions, others benefit from seasonal support.

4) "There’s no science behind it."
There’s growing research into acupuncture’s effects on the nervous system, inflammation, and pain regulation.

5) "It’s only for ‘crunchy’ wellness types."
My clients are teachers, parents, executives, creatives, athletes — people who just want to feel better, naturally.

Have questions? Drop them below. I’m always happy to chat about what’s real and what’s just old myths.

When you think of facial treatments, do you imagine something relaxing or results-driven?

What if you could have both — in one session?

Neolifting is a facial technique that works deep into the muscles and connective tissue while calming the nervous system. It softens lines, lifts naturally, and restores your glow — without needles, injectables, or downtime.
