Great news the CRY Department has achieved Echo Quality Accreditation — the first public hospital in Ireland to do so. Thanks to our dedicated team and the support of the CRY charity, this accreditation ensures the highest standards of care for young people and offers real reassurance to families nationwide.

Congratulations to Professor Coughlan & the whole team on this important initiative 👏

Tallaght University Hospital (TUH) has been recognised with the inaugural “Most Improved Performance Award” in relation to the Irish Hip Fracture Standards. The award acknowledges the significant improvements made by TUH in the care journey for hip fracture patients. Among the key initiatives is a system to alert trauma ward staff of incoming hip fracture patients, and a streamlined admission pathway that prioritises early assessment, bed allocation, and pain management.
"By refining our processes and focusing on the patient journey, we have made meaningful improvements that directly benefit patients" said Professor Tara Coughlan, Consultant Orthogeriatritian, TUH.
