Classical Pilates offers classes to suit all levels and ages. Pilates heals and re-educates the body. The entire body is trained during each session. Benefits of consistent Pilates training include:

Pilates is excellent for body awareness, helping us to coordinate and understand our movement and correct posture over time, not to mention the aesthetic benefits (but that's not what we're in it for...right? ;)). Many people start Pilates to 'tone their abs' which is great but they stay and fall in love for how amazing it makes them feel. Johanna's advice "Stick with it. It's super easy to get hooked and effortlessly make it a part of your routine, especially with before work, lunch time and evening offers available. I always do at least two classes a week, outside of my own practice and the classes I teach because I would simply miss it if I didn't. We all want to progress and feel great, right? ▪️Beginning this new week with 1️⃣ of 2️⃣ posts in support of the fabulous campaign by gorgeous Kimberly Studio Focus Pilates 💕 to raise awareness & 💰 to protect the next generation from breast cancer 💓✔️💓 ▪️I was asked to join forces with the lovely Hannah 💕 & we decided to demo a combo which was achievable for all to try ✔️✨▪️This flow was inspired by Shaina & begins with some core prep prior to pike ✔️ ▪️Hannah has used & I have improvised with head support cushions under each foot to provide the glide needed for this sequence ✔️▪️As always, remember to initiate each move by drawing ‘in & up’ the pelvic floor, transversus & adductors, bringing it all together with that all important ribcage connection to form a long & strong ▪️Maintain your length with pilates opposition, & as always, work within your own range, piking to a point where powerhouse remains engaged.. ▪️From here we progress with practise to increase our range of movement by developing further strength from within.. ✔️ ▪️Here’s the low down from Kimberly about this vitally important initiative 💓🙏🏻💓: ▪️’Join together to raise awareness and 💰 to protect the next generation from breast cancer. Saoirse is such a proactive person. I had the best time doing this interview. Her daughter Skye is beyond cute and I’m amazed at how much a busy, working mother can fit into her day! Thank you, Saoirse!💚
In the podcast we chat about PILATES (of course) a typical day for me, how I became a Pilates instructor and tips for anyone thinking of going down this route.
