Our patients, residents, staff and volunteers will enjoy an ‘egg-stravaganza’ this Easter, thanks to Thomas Metcalfe and his daughters Lauren and Ellamay, who kindly delivered lots of chocolate treats that members of the public and companies generously donated.

Their visit brought smiles across our Harold’s Cross site, where 101‑year‑old Jean O’Toole, a patient in the Community Rehabilitation Unit, was among those who received a special Easter egg.

Thank you to the Metcalfe family and also to Brian Lawless from PA Media, who visited our Harold’s Cross site this week to capture all the ‘egg-citement’!

🌟 A huge thank you to Martha, Georgiann, Kayla & Amelia! 🌟

These four amazing girls set up their very own shop in their local community and raised an incredible €100 for the Hospice and we are so grateful.

We were also delighted to welcome them to the Hospice for a visit on their easter holidays. It was fantastic to see such generosity and community spirit at such a young age.

This feature documentary follows legendary journalist Charlie Bird as he battles the effects of Motor Neurone Disease, while working to break one final story.

Charlie, his wife Claire, and their gorgeous pal Tiger supported the fundraising efforts of Our Lady's Hospice & Care Services during 2023, getting behind our Bewley’s Big Coffee Morning for Hospice campaign and helping to raise vital funds for Hospice services. Charlie's attendance at Wicklow Hospice's coffee morning is featured in 'Ransom '79' as the camera captures his determination and resolve to keep doing good for others at a most challenging personal time.

Last week we were delighted to welcome Martina Queally, HSE Regional Executive Officer, and Aisling Heffernan, Integrated Healthcare Area Manager, to our Wicklow Hospice last week.

Our Hospice in Magheramore was established back in 2020, is one of three specialist locations within Our Lady’s Hospice & Care Services. Here, consultant led, multi-disciplinary teams work closely together to support patients and their families meeting physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs with compassion and expertise.

The Grief Café is an opportunity for loved ones to come together in a supportive environment to chat to other people who have experienced loss. The Café will take place on
