Our Lady’s Hospice & Care Services (OLH&CS) provides specialist care to people with a wide range of needs, from residential rehabilitation to end-of- life care, from our bases in Harold’s Cross, Blackrock and Wicklow. WHO WE ARE
Our Lady’s Hospice & Care Services (OLH&CS) provides specialist care for people with a wide range of needs from rehabilitation to end-of-life care in people’s homes across Dublin and Wicklow and in its three facilities in Harold’s Cross, Blackrock and Magheramore, Co. OLH&CS also fundraises to continue to develop the campus and to enhance patient services.

Less than 2 weeks to go until our Wicklow Hospice Half Marathon & 10KM!

We’re still seeking volunteers to help make this special event in Avondale run smoothly could you spare the morning of Saturday, 21st February?

We urgently need a few more helping hands for the following roles:
• Parking stewards 7.30am start
• Race reception volunteers 7.45am start
• Route marshal stewards 8.15am start

When grieving, children often experience what is called ‘puddle jumping’, where they dip in and out of their grief. They may feel intense sadness at times and then return to joyful activities. This is a healthy coping mechanism because children cannot handle constant, overwhelming emotions. They need breaks from their grief as they learn to manage their loss.

It’s National Grief Awareness Week and we’re encouraging people to have more open conversations about this challenging aspect of life, so that we can better support those around us who are experiencing grief.
While many people find comfort and strength through the support of family and friends, others may benefit from talking with other bereaved people or through external support services to help them navigate their grief.

The Grief Café is an opportunity for loved ones to come together in a supportive environment to chat to other people who have experienced loss. The Café will take place on

Monday 26th January from 11am to 12pm in the Coffee Dock in Harold’s Cross.
Tuesday 27th January 2026 from 11am to 12pm in Blackrock Hospice.
Thursday 29th January 2026 from 11am to 12pm in Wicklow Hospice.

🎄 Huge thank you to David Doyle for his incredible Christmas lights in the Donnybrook community.🎄

His festive display lights up the season every year and brings joy to everyone who passes by. This year, David went even further and raised an amazing €1,570.56 for Our Lady’s Hospice & Care Services.
