Alzheimer’s is so much more than "forgetting things," and it certainly isn't just an inevitable part of growing older. It’s a shift in how a person experiences the world, affecting the way they speak, how they navigate their day, and even how they connect with the people they love.

It doesn't always wait for old age, either..it can arrive much earlier than any of us expect. But a diagnosis isn't the end of a person's story. While the path changes, life doesn't stop. With a little extra patience and a lot of heart, there is still so much room for the comfort of a long-held habit, the spark of a favourite song and the peace found in a familiar place.
