This black history month we are going to highlight some diseases that were/are used as weapons of discrimination against black communities worldwide.

Today we're going to be taking a look at yellow fever in particular and it's use as a means to justify slavery, discriminate against black people and to directly expose them to a dangerous disease.

Today for World AIDS day we are raising funds in support of HIV Ireland. HIV remains a major global health issue with 239 new cases in 2024. Overall, Ireland now has one of the highest rates of HIV in Europe at 18.8 per 100,000 people, compared with the European average of 5.3.
