A question I get asked all the time: When is the best time to do a birth preparation workshop?

Honestly? There’s no perfect time. We’re all different learners. In my opinion, it’s never too early & never too late.

If you find a workshop you’re drawn to & the date suits you both then go for it! They don’t happen every week & you’ll never regret taking one.

Growing a baby takes time & energy. Preparing for birth is no different. One workshop isn’t a magic wand but it certainly helps. You have to practice what you learn. Muscle memory, brain training, breathing practices, body connection. It all takes time, just like pregnancy & birth do.

So many people that have attended, tell me the biggest shift was their mindset. They enjoyed pregnancy more. They started to actually look forward to birth with less fear. Why? Because they learned tools they could truly apply, during pregnancy, during birth & beyond. Partners included.

A birthing woman needs support, from people that trust birth, water, movement, music, comfort measures, helpful props, techniques & more.

Birth partners need to know your preferences plus they need to be discussed with caregivers early, not the week before baby arrives (if possible!). But remember… it’s never too late to start.

Practice what you learn. Applied information is power for the both of you.

And when the unexpected arises (as it sometimes does), those who’ve prepared their body & mind often feel more grounded, connected & confident . I hear this ALL the time.

I highly recommend doing an independent birth prep workshop alongside what your hospital offers. You don’t have to do an active birth workshop but investing in a good one is never a waste of time or money.

My workshop is designed to help you feel more confident & ready
regardless what your birth preferences are. I’m here to support you & help your baby’s birth be a more positive experience which can look different for everyone.
