Your child isn’t being bold, they’re overwhelmed, exhausted and safe enough to let it show.

💜If your child struggles to settle at night, please know this:
It’s not bold. It’s not “being difficult.” It’s biology.

💜Bedtime is when their little nervous system finally slows down enough to feel everything they’ve been carrying all day including worries, tiredness, school pressure,overstimulation… all of it.

💜So when you see your child dtaghing bedtime out or you hear“one more” of everything then that is your child telling you they are dysregulated and have a big ferling, probs not wanting to leave you

💜And when we understand why it’s happening, we can respond in ways that actually help.

💜A calm nervous system gives an easier bedtime.
Not perfect but just easier

💜Bedtime problems often don’t start at bedtime.They start at 4pm.When your child is already tired… when the house gets busy… when everyone’s nervous system is running on fumes.

💜So by the time you say, “Right, bedtime!” You’re not starting from calm.
You’re starting from overwhelm, disconnection, and a child whose brain has slid right into survival mode.

💜If evenings are feeling chaotic in your house right now, it does NOT mean you’re doing anything wrong. It may just mean that your child needs more regulating moments before bedtime ever begins.

💜Small changes gives big results.
I’ll walk you through them this week because I have trialled all the things that work with my kids . I was the mum who lay on the landing until my toddler went to sleep and yes a couple of times even fell asleep there !
