Huge thanks to Paula Keane (NRH), Nicola Monahan (CES patient & SII Peer Volunteer), and everyone who joined me in presenting at Beaumont Grand Rounds today. Proud to be raising awareness for Cauda Equina Syndrome as part of our campaign supported by Coloplast. 💛

We are proud to have the support of three fantastic companies as our Empowerment Summit sponsors.

Our title sponsors, Coloplast , has been a dedicated support of ours for many years and continues to be a champion of bowel, bladder, and wound care for our service users. They bring expert knowledge and a nationwide team that give guidance and advice to make life easier for people with intimate healthcare needs.

Our silver sponsors, Coleman Legal LLP and Dovida, have been both strived to ensure our service users live a comfortable and fulfilled life after their injury. Coleman Legal have guided clients to ensure they get the compensation and support they may be entitled to after their injury.

Dovida offers in-home care services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. They help to allow people with additional support needs life long and healthy lives in their own home.

Thank you to all our sponsors for supporting the Summit and making it possible for us to run it.

Speaker Announcement: Barry Moore to Join the SII Empowerment Summit 2026!

We’re delighted to share that Barry Moore, MSc, CIFT, founder of , will be joining us as a guest speaker at the SII Empowerment Summit on March 21st at The Curragh Racecourse, Newbridge.

Barry is a leading neuro‑rehabilitation specialist and the founder of Vitality Neuro Rehabilitation, a Dublin‑based centre dedicated to recovery‑focused exercise and whole‑body healing for people living with neurological diagnoses.

With a master’s in Kinesiology from Indiana University, Barry has worked internationally in neuro recovery and returned to Ireland to establish Vitality in 2025. Since opening its dedicated space last summer, Vitality now supports more than 40 individuals across various settings and partners with community organisations to advance rehabilitation and wellbeing.

Barry also collaborates with Spinal Injuries Ireland to develop and deliver our national Train the Trainer programme, equipping fitness professionals to work confidently with people living with spinal cord injury.

We’re excited to share that Barry will also be leading two 15‑minute live exercise sessions during the Summit, an energising chance for attendees to learn, move, and experience practical neuro‑focused exercise in real time.

Vitality was founded with a clear purpose: to help individuals navigate life after neurological injury through movement, whole‑body rehabilitation, and renewed confidence, capability, identity, and purpose.

We can’t wait for Barry to bring his expertise, energy, and passion to this year’s Summit.
