Stress is a funny ole thing. We need some to function. But when it hits fast…..

Stress hits fast.
Your heart races, your shoulders tighten, and your mind starts sprinting ahead.
You can’t always stop what’s happening around you but you can slow what’s happening inside you.
That’s where the 5-second breathing trick comes in.

Here’s how to do it
Breathe in through your nose for a slow count of five.
Hold for two.
Breathe out through your mouth for five.
Repeat it three times.
That’s it. Less than a minute.

Why it works
When you stretch your exhale, you signal your nervous system that you’re safe.
Your heart rate slows.
Your muscles loosen.
Your mind clears just enough to think straight again.

It’s like pressing a reset button on your body anytime, anywhere.
Before a meeting.
In traffic.
After reading a stressful message.

Next time stress takes over, don’t just power through it.
