The death has occurred of Kathleen (Kitty) Laverty

Kathleen (Kitty) Laverty née Burns, 23 Mill Street, Dundalk. Passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family on Monday 1st December, 2025. Kitty, daughter of the late Edward and Kathleen, beloved wife of the late Barney (June 1990) loving mother of John, Eamon, Brian, Niall, Carl, Mary and the late Patrick loving granny of Cathy, Aoibhín, Seán, Bernard, Sarah, Hannah, Joseph, Carl and James and sister of Michael (USA), Johnny (Dundalk), Susan Cumiskey (Castleblaney) Philomena Rafferty (Dundalk) and the late Pete, Ned, Gene and Larry.
Kitty will be sadly missed by her daughter, sons, grandchildren, son-in-law Patrick Clarke, daughters-in-law Brenda, Anna and Laura, brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Kitty will repose at her home (A91 Y3K6) from 2pm until 8pm on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Removal on Thursday to St. Josephs Redemptorist Church arriving for Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in St. Patricks Cemetery.

Passed away peacefully in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital on Sunday 30th November 2025, after being lovingly cared for by the staff of Blackrock Abbey. John (Former member of Louth County Council and Harbour Commission), beloved husband of the late Maureen née hoey (June 2024), dear father of Paula, Dermot, Brenda and Kevin, loving grandad of Stefan, Darren, Shauna, Nessa and Aobha, brother of the late Matt, Jim, Peter, Ella, Pat, Richard, Tom and Eddie. John will be sadly missed by his sons, daughters, grandchildren, son-in-law Darren, daughters-in-law Martina and Robyn, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Colonel Henry (Harry) Johnston (Retd)

Colonel Henry (Harry) Johnston (Retd), Lissan House, Priorland Road, Dublin Road, Dundalk, who passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family. Harry, beloved husband of Elizabeth (née McDonnell) and dear father of Mark, Harry, and Paul. Predeceased by his parents Harry and Annie (late of Deerpark, Ravensdale), sisters Alice and Lilly, and brothers Tommy and Jim. He will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his wife, sons, daughters‑in‑law Sinead, Claire, and Jackie, his adored grandchildren Naoise, Amy, Millie, Kaelem, Nessa, and Cara, sister Winnie, sister‑in‑law Delamar, Carers Nadia and Natasia, nephews, nieces, extended family, relatives, Army colleagues, friends, and neighbours. Harry dedicated his life to service in the Irish Defence Forces, rising to the rank of Colonel and serving on numerous United Nations peacekeeping missions in the Congo and the Middle East. He will be fondly remembered for his strength of character and gentle nature.

Removal on Tuesday 2nd December at 1.30pm driving to Haggardstown Church (A91 XH75), for Funeral Mass at 2pm followed by burial in Haggardstown Cemetery.

Colm Meehan, (Meehan Garage) Mullaharlin Road, Dundalk. Passed away suddenly in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital on Wednesday 26th November 2025 in his 87th year. Colm much loved husband and best friend of Anne, dear father of Alan, Linda and Jennifer, loving grandad of Caoimhe, Sophie and Aimee and brother of Marie Mc Kevitt and the late Olive Meehan. Colm will be sadly missed by his loving wife, son, daughters, grandchildren, Alan’s partner Susan, Lindas’ partner Paul, Jennifer’s partner Thomas, brother, sister, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Bernie beloved wife of John, dear mother of Catherine, Roger, Sinead, Pat and Claire and devoted nanny of Madison, Aodhán, Aimee, Isabelle, Isaac, Realtín, Katie, Tom, Cillian, Ellen, Daniel, Blathnaid, Killian, Kate and the late Oisin, and sister of Gerard, Pat, Michael, and the late Marie. Iris much loved wife and best friend of the late Tony, cherished mother of Tara Shirley and Nicola Golden, granny of Ben, Chloe, Lucy, Alex and Andrew, mother-in-law of Jonathan and the late Tony, sister of Linda, Wendy, Canon Doris, Derek, Nigel and the late Norma and Ivan.
