👣 The Importance of Regular Foot Checks
I was with a gentleman yesterday who was unaware he had an infected toe.
There was very little pain, and it wasn’t something he had noticed himself.
Because it was identified early, he was advised to attend his Care Doc, where he was prescribed antibiotics to treat the infection.
This is why regular foot checks are so important, particularly for:
• Older adults
• People with reduced mobility
• Those who may not be able to see or feel their feet clearly
Early detection can prevent infections from becoming more serious and helps keep people comfortable, mobile, and safe.
If something doesn’t look right, it’s always best to have it checked.

Lets talk about corns.
Corns are those little hard bumps that like to make a home on your toes or the soles of your feet. Usually where there's pressure or friction from shoes.
They can feel like you're walking on a pebble, and no, sadly ignoring them doesn't make the go away :/
When I treat corns, I use and electric file to smooth away the thickened skin and break down the corn. This is a non invasive treatment to make your feet feel more comfortable again.
Corns are notoriously difficult to get rid of permanently and may require a large area to be to cut out by a doctor or a chiropodist. But for many people, regular foot care and the right shoes make the world of a difference.
So if your toes are complaining or your shoes are suddenly feeling 'too small,' it might just be a little corn calling for attention.
