I attended this course at the weekend Cancer Care and Palliative Care Reflexology. Thank you to Majella Fagan at Green Tara College the course was so informative and enjoyable.
Where does the holistic approach fit into Cancer Care and Palliative Care?
1. The individuals are as important as their tumors
2. The quality of life is as important as it’s length
3. Simple natural lifestyle measures sometimes help as much as sophisticated technology
4. The art of healing, the “heart and soul” of medicine, will always have a place alongside the science
5. Cancer isn’t just one illness, it has emotional and physical effects and it’s treatment is unique to each person.
In reflexology we treat the person first in the true holistic sense not the disorder. In oncology reflexology the focus is very much on the person emotionally, mentally, spiritually, and physically.
