Aisling Coyne - 13th February 2026. Passed away suddenly and unexpectedly after a very brief illness. Beloved wife of Stephen and adored eldest child of her heartbroken parents Seamus and Helen. Aisling will be sadly missed and forever loved by her brothers Thomas and Conor, her only sister Grace, her granny Mary, her godmother Sandra, godfather Finbar, her aunts, uncles, cousins, and her many, many friends across the world.

Aisling will be forever remembered as a pioneer, a passionate and courageous woman who had a profound impact on all who had the privilege of encountering her. Kind, thoughtful, hilariously funny and exceptionally clever, she was a tireless advocate for those less fortunate and a steadfast voice for justice and compassion. The world is a sadder place without her. Her loss will be deeply and forever mourned by all who loved her.

Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam.

In Mountjoy Jail one Monday morning
High upon the gallows tree
Kevin Barry gave his young life
For the cause of liberty
Just a lad of 18 summers
Yet there's no one can deny
As he walked to death that morning
He proudly held his head on high

We would like to share with you Parting Words. It is a podcast about the messages we leave behind. Through personal stories, music, and reflection, it explores how grief shapes us and how parting words can echo long after goodbye.
Each episode invites a well-known guest (artist, broadcaster, athlete, thinker) to reflect on someone they’ve lost, share the soundtrack of their mourning, and imagine the final message they’d leave behind — with warmth, wit, and wisdom.

In this first conversation, broadcaster Muireann O’Connell speaks with Colm Hayes, who reflects on the life of his beloved wife, Anne, and the six years they lived with her cancer diagnosis. Colm’s honesty, humour and tenderness set the tone for this 6 part series rooted in connection and compassion.

Parting Words, from Rip.ie, and proudly sponsored by An Post Insurance, is a podcast about the messages we leave behind. Through personal stories, music, and reflection, we explore how grief shapes us and how parting words can echo long after goodbye. Each episode invites a well-known guest (a...
