It is with profound sadness that I have learned of the passing of Lord Henry Mount Charles. As Cathaoirleach of Meath County Council and on behalf of the people of Meath, I would like to express my condolences to his wife Lady Iona, to his children Alexander, Henrietta, Wolfe and Tamara, and to all of his family and friends.

Lord Henry Mount Charles leaves behind an extraordinary legacy, having transformed his family home into one of the world's most iconic rock concert venues. His determination and perseverance were evident not only in the success of the rock concerts but also in the restoration of Slane Castle after it was devastated by fire in 1991.
