Well done all involved, especially Peadar who responds off duty in our community.

We wish John well on his recovery, he is looking in great shape just 12 days after such an event - goes to show what a quick response can do 🙏👏❤️

A very welcome sight… ❤️

We were very happy to see passenger John Mullen return to Dublin Airport this morning, 12 days after he suffered a cardiac arrest in Pier 4.

John was reunited today with Paramedics Ciaran Foster and Peadar Edgar, from our Fire & Rescue team, and Aaron Crampton from Airport Police, who responded to the incident on the day.

Aaron took the call in Airport Police control at 06.30 that morning and initiated a response. Ciaran and Peadar were straight on the scene in Terminal 2 and carried out advanced life support procedures on Mr Mullen including seven defibrillation shocks and managed to get John’s heart beating effectively once again.

After a spell in hospital, John returned to the airport today to travel home to the United States and met with the three men who saved him.

Safe travels, John!

A huge thank you to Anita and all the staff at Pure Pharmacy for their generosity and support of Edenderry Community First Responders.

This publicly accessible defibrillator is a wonderful gift to our community and could truly help save lives when it matters most. We are so grateful.

💚Supporting Our Community's Heart💚

Pure Pharmacy Group is proud to sponsor a publicly accessible defibrillator to support the incredible work of the Edenderry First Responders and help keep our community safe.

The defibrillator is centrally located on the side of Pure Pharmacy, ensuring it is easy to access at all times when every second truly matters. This life-saving device will be available to the public and first responders alike, strengthening emergency care right here in the heart of Edenderry.

Anita Meenehan, Manager of Pure Pharmacy, shared:
"Edenderry is more than just the place we work - it's our community. Knowing that this defibrillator could help save a life is incredibly important to us. We see every day how dedicated our first responders are, and we are proud to support them in any way we can. If this helps even one family in their moment of need, then it's absolutely worth it."

A huge thank you to the Edenderry First Responders for the vital care they provide, and to everyone who continues to look out for one another 💚

🚨 We are currently dealing with a very high call volume nationwide 🚨

If you're sick, please consider all your care options including the out-of-hours doctor, on call pharmacist or going directly to the Emergency Department.

Calling an ambulance will not get you seen at ED any quicker.

Please only ring 999 or 112 in a real emergency so that we can help those who need us most.

A powerful reminder of why CPR training truly matters. 💚
This young person’s life was saved thanks to fast action and effective CPR — a real example of how early intervention can change everything.

We’d love to see CPR skills taught in every school so more lives can be saved in our communities. If any group, school, club, or organisation would like help setting up a CPR programme or course, please reach out — we’re here to support you at no cost.

Together, we can make our community safer for everyone. 🚑💓
