We would like to take a heartfelt moment to celebrate and honour our founder, Elizabeth Switzer, who officially retired from the business on the final day of October. After an incredible 18 years of dedication, vision, and care, Elizabeth leaves behind a legacy that has shaped everything we stand for.

Over the past two years, since transferring ownership to Johnpaul Odigbo and later Bethan Byrne, Elizabeth continued to work tirelessly alongside the new owners—ensuring that the same exceptional duty of care and customer service that became her hallmark remains at the heart of what we do.

We are deeply grateful for her leadership, her kindness, and her unwavering passion for helping the people of Edenderry and Offaly see life more clearly—both literally and figuratively.

As we move forward, we are proud to carry on her mission with the same dedication, compassion, and integrity that she instilled in every aspect of the business. The name “Elizabeth Switzer Optometrist” will forever stand in Edenderry as a lasting testament to her truth, excellence, and commitment to the community she served so wholeheartedly.
